United Rebel Sprint Series hosts Missouri doubleheader

OSBORN, Mo. – The POWRi Drive to Zero United Rebel Sprint Series Presented by Mel Hambelton Ford Racing has two Missouri events on the schedule Friday, July 23 and Saturday, July 24.  Both races will pay $1,000 to win with $200 to start the “A” features. On Friday, July 23, competition will take place atop the 3/8-mile high banked resurfaced facility of US 36 Raceway in Osborn. The enhancements on the track have given fans and drivers excitement, with close, action-packed racing. IMCA RaceSaver Sprints run at Front Row Challenge

OSKALOOSA, Iowa – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars make their annual visit to Southern Iowa Speedway for the Front Row Challenge special on Aug. 9, running for $1,000 to win. A minimum of $100 will be paid to start the Monday night main event and IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and KMJ Performance Iowa State points will be awarded for the Badger Steel USA-sponsored event. There is no entry fee; pit passes are $40. Admission is $30 for adults and $15 for ages 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased through the Front Row Challenge website. Reserved seats and infield party passes are available by calling 515 957-0020. Outlaw 410 Sprint Cars run in the One Night Stand for Twenty Grand at Oskaloosa that evening and must run with the Schoenfeld/Knoxville muffler. The 26th annual Sage Fruit Front Row Challenge is presented by the Searsboro Telephone Company.

Barona Speedway hosts July 24 Summer Shootout special

LAKESIDE, Calif. – The inaugural IMCA Summer Shootout brings IMCA Modifieds to Barona Speedway for a Saturday, July 24 $2,000 to win Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods race for $1,600 to win, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks for $1,500 to win and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $500 to win that evening. Drivers in all four divisions can pre-register at www.imcasummershootout.com. Pit gates open at noon and racing starts at 5 p.m.  Car and driver is $75 and pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $10 for seniors, military and emergency services personnel, $10 for students ages 7-17 and free for six and under. IMCA Modifieds race for bragging rights and $2,500 at Grays Harbor Shipwreck Bead Nationals

ELMA, Wash. – Bragging rights are at stake on opening night of Grays Harbor Raceway’s July 23 and 24 Shipwreck Beads IMCA Modified Nationals. Bragging rights, $2,500 and a berth on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational are on the line on night two. Previous Nationals winners and track champions comprise Friday’s $500 to win race of champions field. They’ll be among the contenders for Saturday’s big check at Elma’s 22nd annual special. “We hope to pull drivers from as far away as California and Arizona,” said promoter Bert Johnson. “There are a lot of bragging rights involved but this is really a fun event. We went back to the original two-day race format in 2015 and it’s worked very well for us.” The sanctioned special is the first held in Washington State since Grays Harbor returned to IMCA sanctioning this season. HARRISBURG, Ark. – Mod Lites of Arkansas race for $500 to win and a minimum of $100 to start this Saturday, July 17 at Old No. 1 Speedway in Harrisburg.  Gates open at 4 p.m. with pre-tech for the IMCA STARS Mod Lite entries to follow. Racing is at 7:30 p.m.

Muscatine County Fair show brings five IMCA divisions to West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY, Iowa – Muscatine County Fairgoers can enjoy the midway and a livestock exhibit or two before five IMCA divisions take to the West Liberty Raceway half-mile on Wednesday, July 21.  IMCA Sunoco Late Models race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Modifieds for $700, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods both for $400 and Mach-1 Sport Compacts for $200 to win that evening.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded.  There is no entry fee. Admission to the fairgrounds is $6 and pit passes are $20. IMCA Modifieds return to Fayette County Speedway for Rage Chassis 40

WEST UNION, Iowa – IMCA Modifieds are all the rage again at Fayette County Speedway on July 21. Next Wednesday’s Rage Chassis 40 main event is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier and pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded at the draw/redraw show, to be held on the second night of the county fair and in West Union, the home town of Rage Chassis.  “I work closely with the fair board and this is something we’ve wanted to do for a number of years. Eric Van Iten Memorial … a lifetime of friendship leads to historic event

By Joe Orsini  LUXEMBURG, Wis. – July 18th’s Eric Van Iten Memorial Race is set to be the largest race in the history of the ⅓-mile, clay oval in Luxemburg, Wis.  It is also slated to be one of the largest single day events in the history of dirt track racing in the state. When Eric passed away early in 2021 his longtime friend, Troy “Snoot” DeGrave, knew he had to do something. Troy confided, “Eric passed away from cancer too young in life and I was thinking I wanted to do something to memorialize him because he did a lot for racing and a lot for my racing career.”  Eric had won the 2000 IMCA Sunoco Stock Car championship at Luxemburg Speedway and Troy reached out to the Kewaunee County Racing Association (KCRA) which is promoting races at the rebranded ‘Burg Speedway.  The group agreed it would be a fitting tribute to put a memorial race on the schedule. With that, the groundwork was laid for one of the biggest nights in Northeastern Wisconsin racing in [Read More]

Hancock County hosts $1,100 to win show for IMCA Stock Cars

TIPTON, Iowa – The IMCA Modified winner at the July 14 Cedar County Fair special goes home with a prize that’s better than a blue ribbon. The Wednesday night main event at Cedar County Raceway in Tipton is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier, paying $2,000 to win, a minimum of $130 to start and $60 tow.
