ABILENE, Texas – Five sanctioned divisions are on a very full race program for the Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 17-19 Ryan Bard Memorial Southern Challenge at Abilene Speedway. Total purse for the 19th annual event is approximately $75,000. IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds chase a $3,000 top check, with a minimum of $450 paid to start the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier. Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods race for $2,500 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars vie for $2,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to take the main event green. BOYD, Texas – A $2,000 to win feature for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds headlines the Saturday, Oct. 12 Grand Nationals special at Boyd Raceway. The Modified main is a qualifier for the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Twenty cars will start withy a minimum of $100 paid to take the green. Modified winner earns $5,000 at Canyon’s Desert Classic

PEORIA, Ariz. – Canyon Speedway Park celebrates a milestone event with a $5,000 IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified payday. The 25th annual Desert Classic brings the best drivers from around the Larry Shaw Racing Western Region to town Friday and Saturday, Nov. 1-2. Saturday’s 40-lap main event pays $2,500 for second and $1,250 for third. Minimum start money for the 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier is $300. HAYS, Kan. (Oct. 8) – The IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature pays $5,000 to win during RPM Speedway’s seventh annual Fall Nationals Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 10-12. The main event is a 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier and pays a minimum of $400 to start. Fall Nationals also boasts a $3,000 check for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car winner. Fulton date is Friday for World Products Empire State Series

FULTON, N.Y. (Oct. 1) – Chris Fleming brings the point lead to town, when the World Products Empire State Series visits Fulton Speedway this Friday, Oct. 4. Championships determined tonight at Salina

(Sept. 27) – A full season has been nearly completed for the third straight year at the Salina Speedway as tonight’s (Friday) championship night showcases a long summer of achieve­ments with the crowning of six out of seven division champions. Joe Cleveland will capture his second championship in a row in the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified division by starting his heat race. The battle will be for second as Corey Lagroon and Brian Knoell are separated by only one point. Mike Traskowsky is looking forward to capturing his second championship in three years in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock division. Aaron McBride, his closest contender, is still within striking distance, but would need to finish 14 positions in front of Traskowsky to capture the title. VINTON, Iowa (Sept. 25) – The 2013 IMCA weekly point season ends this Sunday, Sept. 29. Final races are scheduled for the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified, IMCA Eagle Motorsports RaceSaver Sprint Car, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod, Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMod and Mach-1 Sport Compact classes, as well as West Coast Super Stocks. No events, weekly or special, rained out this weekend will be allowed to be rescheduled and run for points.
