35th Annual Harris Clash Returns to Iowa’s Action Track June 23

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (May 15, 2026) — One of the most prestigious and longest-running traditions in IMCA racing returns to Iowa’s Action Track on Tuesday, June 23, as the 35th Annual Harris Clash brings another loaded night of competition to Boone Speedway. Created by Bob Harris in 1992, the Harris Clash remains IMCA’s longest-running single-day special event and continues to be one of the marquee summer showcases for Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods. The 2025 edition marked the first time the event had been held in Iowa since 2017 and the first appearance at Boone Speedway since 1994. It also featured the debut of Stock Cars on the Harris Clash program. The response was massive. Midwest Madness Tour Returns for 8th Annual Run Through the Heartland from June 28-July 2

(May 14, 2026) — The Midwest Madness Tour is set to thunder back into action for its eighth annual edition, bringing five straight nights of Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing competition to tracks across Minnesota, Iowa, and South Dakota from June 28 through July 2. The tour opens Sunday, June 28 at Worthington Speedway in Worthington, Minnesota before heading to Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa on Monday, June 29. Park Jefferson Speedway in Jefferson, South Dakota hosts round three on Tuesday, June 30, followed by Buena Vista Raceway in Alta, Iowa on Wednesday, July 1. All-Star Shootout Ready to Fire Off May 21-24 Across Texas and Oklahoma

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (May 14, 2026) — The All-Star Shootout is just a week away from roaring back to life, as four straight nights of Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing action are set for May 21-24 across Texas and Oklahoma with increased payouts, new race procedures, and a packed lineup of contingency awards. Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods will again headline the tour. Modifieds will race for $1,250 to win and $125 to start each night, while Stock Cars and Southern SportMods compete for $1,000 to win and $100 to start. Hellman Goes Back-to-Back After Wild Stock Car Battle at Mandan

(May 8, 2026) — Fans were on their feet during a wild Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature that saw Geoff Hellman emerge victorious after a chaotic and action-packed Friday night battle at Dacotah Speedway. Travis Ulmer and Brennor Grinstead fought fiercely for the lead in the early stages while defending track champion Hellman carved his way through the field from 12th starting position. The trio eventually raced three-wide for the top spot, occasionally making contact while thrilling the crowd with an intense battle for supremacy. A caution with seven laps remaining tightened the field, and more drama unfolded on the restart when contact between Hellman and Grinstead sent Grinstead spinning in front of the pack, collecting Andrew Jochim. Grinstead was sent to the rear following the incident. Smith and Reimers Continue Boone SportMod Success

By Jane Burd BOONE, Iowa (May 9, 2026) — Fans at Boone Speedway were treated to another packed night of Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing action with strong car counts, dramatic finishes, and several wild incidents across multiple divisions. Mike Smith of Lake City charged from eighth starting position and took the lead from Matt Avila with seven laps remaining in the opening Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Boone Speedway. Smith went on to secure his fourth victory of the season, with his last two wins coming in consecutive weeks at Boone. Avila finished second ahead of Chris Webb, while Cam Vincent and Mitchell Morris completed the top five. The second IMCA Northern SportMod feature included late-race drama for Jake Sachau, who suffered a right rear flat tire with four laps remaining. Richards Nips Meiners in Wild Shelby County Stock Car Finish

By Don Hawkins  HARLAN, Iowa (May 9, 2026) — A strong field of 25 Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars checked in, and the feature produced one of the closest finishes of the night at Shelby County Speedway. Madrid’s Braden Richards emerged victorious in nearly a photo finish after charging from the 12th starting position. Austin Meiners also sliced through the field from 13th and appeared poised for victory exiting turn four, but Richards surged alongside and edged ahead at the checkers. The win was Richards’ fourth of the campaign in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, with half of those triumphs coming at Shelby County Speedway. Meiners settled for second while Michiah Hidlebaugh advanced from 11th to finish third. Jenner Perfect in Sunset Modified Main

BANKS, Ore. (May 9, 2026) — Matt Jenner put together a flawless performance in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature at Sunset Speedway Park, leading from start to finish in a clean and competitive main event. The Vancouver, Washington racer never relinquished command and kept challengers at bay throughout the contest to earn his first DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season. The best battle on the track came in the fight for second between Craig Cassell and Trevor LaBarge, with Cassell ultimately prevailing. LaBarge settled for third, while Dustin Cady crossed the stripe fourth and Jake Walters completed the top five after spending much of the race battling Kenny Miller, Cady, and his father, Greg Walters. Looft Charges From Ninth To Win Arlington Stock Car Feature

By Susan Allen ARLINGTON, Minn. (May 9, 2026) — The air was chilly, but the racing was hot at Arlington Raceway, and there were three different leaders in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Ryan Grochow led the first two laps before Ken Tietz, who started in the second row, got around him to take over the race. By lap seven, Matthew Looft had the lead in his No. 6-7 machine after starting ninth. Behind him, there was a battle royale between Dave Moriarty, Dan Mackenthun, Curt Lund, and Trent Loverude. In the end, the Swea City, Iowa driver earned his first feature win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. (May 9, 2026) — Danny Wagner of Bay Point captured the 20-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod main event Saturday night at Antioch Speedway, earning his first Antioch victory of the season and second overall win of the year. The reigning California State and Watsonville Speedway champion entered the night with momentum after winning at Watsonville Speedway the evening before. The victory also marked Wagner’s sixth different division in which he has won a main event at Antioch Speedway. Heat race winners Mark Garner of Antioch and Wagner led the field to green, with Wagner settling into second during the opening laps. Wagner made a backstretch pass on Garner on lap five to take command before a yellow flag slowed the pace one lap later following a three-car incident in turn four.
