Whitman Outduels Schmidt in Wild Outagamie Modified Showdown

(May 15, 2026) — Suamico’s Johnny Whitman snatched the lead on lap 10 and fended off a hard-charging Jayden Schmidt to win the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature Friday night at Outagamie Speedway. Whitman, who started eighth, picked up his third Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season and first triumph of 2026 at Outagamie Speedway after surviving a thrilling late-race duel with Schmidt. Hometown driver Konnor Wilinski blasted into a big lead early from his pole position. The second-generation driver quickly built up a full straightaway advantage in the opening four circuits. Wilinski had already begun slicing through lapped traffic by lap eight while Whitman carved his way through the field, grabbing second by lap seven. Krug Edges Zeitner in Park Jefferson Late Model Thriller

By Chance Riley JEFFERSON, S.D. (May 15, 2026) — It was another action-packed night of racing at Park Jefferson Speedway, headlined by a thrilling Sunoco IMCA Late Model feature. In the early stages of the blazing-fast 20-lap A-Main, it was a heavily contested three-car battle between Corey Zeitner, Jordan Krug, and Jody Krug. Jordan Krug, who started fourth, eventually worked his way into the lead while Corey and Zach Zeitner battled feverishly for the runner-up spot. On the final lap, Zach Zeitner threw a last-corner slide job at Jordan Krug. The pair drag-raced to the checkers, with the Council Bluffs, Iowa driver hanging on by just .038 seconds for his first win of the season. Stone Cashes $3,500 Stock Car Triumph at Tulare’s Kris Mancebo Memorial

By Koen Shaw TULARE, Calif. (May 15, 2026) — The Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars closed out the Kris Mancebo Memorial with a thrilling 25-lap, $3,500-to-win feature at Thunderbowl Raceway on Friday night. Troy Foulger jumped out to the early lead and established a strong pace while 10th-starting Paul Stone and 12th-starting Nicholas Johnson quickly carved their way into the top five by lap five. Johnson momentarily got loose in turn one but managed to save the car and maintain his position. Shortly after, Terry DeCarlo and Fred Ryland were involved in an incident that ended Ryland’s night. A lengthy green-flag run allowed Foulger, Stone, and Johnson to separate themselves from the field before late-race cautions reset the action. Austin Pugh brought out one of the late yellows after pounding the turn three wall, while Jeff Olschowka also fell victim to multiple stoppages. Stanford Scores Popular Hobby Stock Triumph at CJ Speedway

By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (May 15, 2026) — The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks provided the most thrilling action of the night Friday at CJ Speedway, with Wapello’s Bill Stanford finally breaking through for his first victory of the season. Known by fans as “Mr. Excitement,” Stanford found victory lane after a wild feature that saw competitors pushing the racing groove to the extreme high side, with several drivers hanging right-side tires over the levee. The race was red flagged when Dalton Weepie exited the racing surface in turn one and slid over the top of the levee. The closing laps featured a thrilling duel between Stanford and graduating high school senior Brayden Wood. Stanford held on at the line to earn his first B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region triumph of 2026. Wood settled for second while early leader Ryan Havel crossed the stripe third. 35th Annual Harris Clash Returns to Iowa’s Action Track June 23

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (May 15, 2026) — One of the most prestigious and longest-running traditions in IMCA racing returns to Iowa’s Action Track on Tuesday, June 23, as the 35th Annual Harris Clash brings another loaded night of competition to Boone Speedway. Created by Bob Harris in 1992, the Harris Clash remains IMCA’s longest-running single-day special event and continues to be one of the marquee summer showcases for Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods. The 2025 edition marked the first time the event had been held in Iowa since 2017 and the first appearance at Boone Speedway since 1994. Hellman Goes Back-to-Back After Wild Stock Car Battle at Mandan

(May 8, 2026) — Fans were on their feet during a wild Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature that saw Geoff Hellman emerge victorious after a chaotic and action-packed Friday night battle at Dacotah Speedway. Travis Ulmer and Brennor Grinstead fought fiercely for the lead in the early stages while defending track champion Hellman carved his way through the field from 12th starting position. The trio eventually raced three-wide for the top spot, occasionally making contact while thrilling the crowd with an intense battle for supremacy. A caution with seven laps remaining tightened the field, and more drama unfolded on the restart when contact between Hellman and Grinstead sent Grinstead spinning in front of the pack, collecting Andrew Jochim. Mike Smith of Lake City charged from eighth starting position and took the lead from Matt Avila with seven laps remaining in the opening Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Boone Speedway. Smith went on to secure his fourth victory of the season, with his last two wins coming in consecutive weeks at Boone.
