Dacotah Speedway checkers to Seidler

By Rebecca Rattei MANDAN, N.D. (May 19, 2023) – Veteran Marlyn Seidler was the winner Friday night in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Dacotah Speedway. Scott Gartner led from the pole in the main event and pulled away as the racing was heating up behind him between Travis Tooley, Quentin Kinzley, Mark Dahl and Jason Wolla. Drivers were slicing and dicing for position as the track was wide and racy. A mid-race caution erased Gartner’s large lead over the field. On the restart, Gartner, Kinzley and Dahl raced three-wide for the lead as Tooley, Wolla and Seidler raced three wide for fourth.  Seidler, who started ninth, shuffled into the fourth position and wasted no time tracking down the leaders. Kinzley led briefly before Dahl claimed the top spot. Seidler made it a three-car battle for the lead and motored into first place. Jeremy Keller, who started 11th, followed Seidler through the field and started to reel him in when Seidler started catching lapped traffic. Keller was all over Seidler’s rear bumper and coming [Read More]

Schwartz wires IMCA Northern SportMod field at Stevens Memorial

By Josh Reynolds Stuart, Iowa (May 17, 2023) – Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway saw some great racing action Wednesday evening as it played host for the Tim and Tammy Stevens Memorial. Mitchell Bunch and Craig Furstenau led the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts to the green flag with Bunch and Terry Bickford showing the way early on. Bickford snagged the lead for a few laps before a lap nine caution slowed the pack. Anthony Clark used the middle of the track to get the lead on lap 11 just as the last caution of the race flew, setting up a three-lap dash to the finish. Clark looked strong as he led on the white flag lap, but Sabin muscled under him cleanly and stole the lead and the win out of turn four. Clark settled for second with Bickford third, Owen Richards fourth and Curtis Masterson fifth.  IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars were next up with Ty Hill and Robbie [Read More]

Adventures continue for Arizona IMCA driver Wesley Bruce

YUMA, Ariz. (May 18, 2023) – The Adventures of Wesley Bruce continue, this season in a Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact. Forty-five years old, from Yuma and a rookie to circle track racing, Bruce comes to the 4-cylinder class after an already lengthy career ranging from drag to road course, off-road and utility terrain vehicle racing. I’d never raced a front wheel drive car before so it’s new and exciting,” said Bruce, who bought defending 2022 Arizona State champion D.J. Werkmeister’s backup ride after Cocopah Speedway’s IMCA.TV Winter Nationals ended in January. “I’ve met a lot of neat people and I’ve had a lot of fun.” He’s chronicled his adventures on and off the track on the aptly titled Adventures of Wesley Bruce Facebook page.
