Super Nationals Tuesday Start Moved Up With Threatening Weather in Forecast

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 7, 2026) — Tuesday’s racing program at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will get an earlier start as officials take a proactive approach to anticipated weather later in the day. Registration and the pit gates will open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Following opening ceremonies, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact hot laps will begin at 10 a.m., with racing to follow. Moving the schedule forward will give officials the best opportunity to complete Tuesday’s entire program with rain forecasted in the evening. The day will feature the second night of qualifying for the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks. The IMCA Sport Compacts will take center stage for their championship program, culminating with the Big Dance to determine the 2026 Super Nationals champion. Raffurty Races to Third Mod Lite Super Nationals Crown

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 7, 2026) — Dillon Raffurty added another chapter to his impressive Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s résumé Monday, racing to his third career Stealth Racing IMCA Mod Lite Big Dance victory at Boone Speedway. The Kansas City, Mo., driver started sixth in the 30-lap championship feature, worked his way to the front on lap 11, and held off Bryce Vowan following a late restart to add the 2026 crown to his victories in 2021 and 2022. The Big Dance and the final qualifier, originally scheduled for Sunday, were pushed to Monday after heavy rain forced the postponement of Sunday’s program. Rain Pushes Mod Lite Big Dance to Monday at Super Nationals

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2026) — Heavy rain forced the cancellation of Sunday’s racing program at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, moving the Stealth Racing IMCA Mod Lite Big Dance to Monday. Mod Lite competition will resume Monday with the 25-lap qualifier setting the outside row for the championship feature. The Big Dance will then be contested later in the program, marking the second consecutive year the Mod Lite championship feature will be held on Monday. All unfinished Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock races from the NAPA Auto Parts Double Down Prelude have been canceled and will not be made up. Monday’s regularly scheduled Super Nationals program for the Sunoco IMCA Late Models, Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks will proceed as scheduled. Winebarger Wins at the Wire and Nolan Takes Super Nationals Prelude Stock Car Victories

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 5, 2026) — The first night of the NAPA Auto Parts Double Down Prelude brought a massive field of competitors to Boone Speedway on Saturday, with Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts taking center stage. Collen Winebarger survived a wild final lap to capture the second 25-lap Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature by just 0.128 seconds. Troy Jerovetz drove the Tracy Thrun-owned No. 01 to the early lead while Winebarger, a two-time Oregon Modified State champion wheeling the Terminator Chassis No. T1 house car, applied the pressure. Winebarger eventually worked his way to the front and began pulling away before a caution on lap 13 changed the complexion of the race. Jerovetz regained the lead on the restart, while Jimmy Gustin used a strong restart to move into second. Gustin began pressuring Jerovetz on lap 16 and took command one circuit later. Gray and Baca Charge to Mod Lite Qualifier Wins at Super Nationals

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 5, 2026) — Austin Gray and Chaz Baca Jr. dominated their respective Stealth Racing IMCA Mod Lite qualifiers Saturday night, securing prime starting positions for Sunday’s Big Dance at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The top 10 finishers from each 25-lap qualifier advanced to Sunday’s championship feature, with the first qualifier setting the inside lane and the second determining the middle lane. Gray grabbed the initial lead in the first 25-lapper before a red flag brought the field back for another attempt at the opening circuit. Once racing resumed, Gray again went to the front and quickly checked out. A lap five caution erased his advantage, but the 2025 Boone Speedway track and Iowa State champion was strong on the restart and again built a comfortable lead. BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4, 2026) – Qualifying fields for five Race of Champions events have been set for the 44th annual Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. All track champions (or current point leaders if their respective points battles resume after Super Nationals), along with past national champions, regional champions, Super Nationals champions, Race of Champions champions and 2025 state champions who pre-registered for Super Nationals are eligible to attempt to qualify for their respective RoC in 2026. Record 1,193 pre-entries for 44th IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 4, 2026) – For the fifth consecutive year, pre-entries for the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s have reached quadruple digits and, like each of the four years before it, a new record-setting registration milestone was set in 2026. As of 4 p.m. CST today, 1,193 drivers have pre-registered for America’s Racin’ Vacation, eclipsing the previous pre-entry mark of 1,156, which was established last year. The divisional breakdown includes 265 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, 329 Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, 195 Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, 192 Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, 113 Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts and 76 Stealth Racing IMCA Mod Lites. While they typically don’t pre-register, 23 Sunoco IMCA Late Models have already reserved their spots for the 44th annual event. Hope For The Warriors Finds Community and Connection at Super Nationals

Lee Bonar Jr., a trip to Boone Speedway during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s is about far more than watching race cars. It is about community. It is about finding veterans who may be struggling with the transition from military to civilian life, sometimes without anybody around them realizing it. Nine New Names Earn B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational Qualifier Wins in August

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 26, 2026) — August competition added nine new drivers to the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car eligibility list for the B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational, while nine already eligible drivers added to their qualifying win totals. Drivers become eligible by winning Speedway Motors IMCA-sanctioned events paying $1,000 or more to win, earning the opportunity to qualify for the B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational, held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September at Boone Speedway. Drivers winning qualifying events paying $5,000 or more receive automatic starting positions in the invitational. Already eligible drivers continued to collect qualifying victories throughout August. Brock Beeter won the Ole Olson Memorial at Nodak Speedway on Aug. 9, while Greg Peck collected victories during the Donald Green Tribute at Park Jefferson Speedway on Aug. 7 and the Bill Kirk Memorial there on Aug. 16.
