Friday qualifiers send drivers from six states to outside row of Modified main event 

BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 7) – A parade of states raced its way into the main event in Friday night Modi­fied qualifying features at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Drew Armstrong, Kyle Brown, Peyton Taylor and Grey Ferrando made up the top four finishers in the first qualifier at Boone Speedway while Jason Wolla, Nick Roberts, Anthony Roth and Tyler Sutton advanced from the nightcap. Those drivers will line up on the outside row and represent Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and Oregon. Ferrando, from Stayton, becomes the first Oregon driver to make the Saturday show. Taylor, then the eighth starting Armstrong led the opener. Brown took over second following a lap 22 restart while Ferrando secured his place in Super Nationals history by holding off Justin O’Brien in a frenetic final circuit. Wolla ran second the last 21 times around the oval and was promoted to the top spot when Richie Gustin was disqualified in post-race tech for a valve train infraction. No ATVs, 4-wheelers allowed on Boone streets 

BOONE, Iowa – Drivers, crew members and race fans attending Super Nationals are reminded that ATVs and 4-wheelers are not allowed on public streets in Boone. While they can be used to get from point A to point B on the Boone Speedway grounds, driving them elsewhere in tow can and most likely will result in a citation and fine.

Sept. 1 Prelude at Boone precedes IMCA Super Nationals 

BOONE, Iowa – The hottest ticket in town on Saturday, Sept. 1 will be for the Wild Rose Casino & Resort Prelude to the IMCA Super Nationals presented by Mediacom at Boone Speedway. IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win and a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot berth that evening. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars chase a $500 top check, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks race for $250 to win. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Iowa State points will be awarded, as will Side Biter Chassis North Central Region points for Modifieds, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region points for Stock Cars and Big Daddy Race Cars Northern Region points for Hobby Stocks. Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3 p.m. Hot laps are at 4 p.m. with racing at 5 p.m. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults and $10 for youth ages 13-17. Pit passes are $30.

Entries still accepted for Super Nationals, Prelude open to all registered drivers at Boone Sept. 1

BOONE, Iowa – Entries are still being accepted for the six divisions competing at the Sept. 3-8 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Modified, Stock Car, Northern SportMod, Hobby Stock, Late Model and Sport Compact competitors can go to the IMCA or Boone Speedway websites to enter. All Modified, Stock Car, Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock drivers in attendance at Boone Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 1 can compete in that evening’s Prelude.
