BOONE, Iowa – Entries are still being accepted for the six divisions competing at the Sept. 3-8 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.
Modified, Stock Car, Northern SportMod, Hobby Stock, Late Model and Sport Compact competitors can go to the IMCA or Boone Speedway websites to enter.
All Modified, Stock Car, Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock drivers in attendance at Boone Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 1 can compete in that evening’s Prelude.
BOONE, Iowa – When they tee it up for the 29th annual Duffers National Tournament at Cedar Pointe Golf Course, golfers in town for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will help support the local Shop With A Cop. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7 for the four-person best shot tournament. Cost is $40 per person, which includes nine holes of golf, a golf cart and lunch, and entries will be taken right up until tee time. Each team is required to have at least one registered Super Nationals driver, IMCA official or Boone Speedway official. The winning foursome earns $200 with $100 paid to the second place team. Remaining proceeds again go to Shop With A Cop, which sees youngsters accompanied local law enforcement officers to pick out Christmas presents at Wal-Mart. BOONE, Iowa – Modified, Stock Car, Northern SportMod and Hobby Stock drivers must be pre-entered for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s to compete in the Saturday, Aug. 31 Wild Rose and Casino Resort Prelude at Boone Speedway. “There were approximately 240 cars entered in the Prelude last year. Those types of numbers have a tremendous effect time-wise on the sign-in and lineup process,” explained IMCA President Brett Root. “Accepting unexpected and large numbers of late entries effects the entire process and would result in a late start and late conclusion to the Prelude race program.” The Prelude Modified feature pays $1,000 to win and is a qualifying event for the 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (April 24) – It was weekly racing series number three at the Boone Speedway on Saturday night with IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and IMCA STARS Mod Lites in competition. The 25-lap Modified feature was a spectacular event. D & E Outside Services had put up $3,000 to a driver opting to start at the tail of the feature and win. Jet Racing threw in an additional $500 making for a possible $3,500 payday. Five drivers went to the rear, Jimmy Gustin, Tim Ward, Ricky Thornton Jr., Joel Bushore, and Paul Nagel. Another incentive was for those drivers passing the most cars that didn’t win would get $750.Clint Wendel held down the top spot for the first two circuits, but Jake McBirnie came calling on lap three, flying into the lead.
