Dominant Dotson becomes first to repeat in Wild West IMCA Modified Shootout

(June 29) – Ethan Dotson became the first two-time feature winner when the Wild West IMCA Modified Shootout rolled into town Thursday for the first of three events at Willamette Speedway. Dotson enjoyed a smooth drive to the $1,000 checkers as the Bakersfield, Calif., hotshoe took full advantage of his front row starting position to seize the lead from the start. Already a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational candidate, Dotson dominated the race in its entirety as the cautions came out just at the right time before lapped traffic would play a factor. Bilstein renews IMCA awards program for 19th season

POWAY, Calif. – IMCA drivers in five divisions benefit from Bilstein Shocks sponsorship for a 19th consecutive season. Stief masters field to win first-ever Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series feature

(April 30) – Rick Stief scored his second career Racesaver 305 Sprint Car victory in the first-ever Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series event Sunday at Bridgeport Speedway. Stief started fourth and took the lead on lap 14 after early race leader Ryan Stillwaggon’s engine expired while maintaining over a straightaway gap on Stief and the rest of the field. Purse boosted for IMCATV-sponsored B feature at Sprint Nationals

EAGLE, Neb. – The IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Nationals purse has increased every year since it began. In past years the main event purse on Sunday has increased. Last year it was increased to $2,500 to win and $1,250 to start for the 27th place car. Nine rows of cars will start three-wide and run for shares of a $46,700 main event purse while the “B” feature non-qualifier purse for Sunday has been increased to $1,000 for the first non-qualifier (10th place) and $500 to start, making the total non-qualifier feature purse $7,000. Park Jefferson opens season with Jimmy Cole Night

JEFFERSON, S.D. – Park Jefferson Speedway will open its 2017 racing season on Saturday, April 8 with Salute to Jimmy Cole Night. Popular racer Cole is fighting cancer and this night will see Park Jefferson donate $1 from every ticket to his recovery fund. This night will also be the kickoff to the 2017 IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing season and thanks to fan donations, the IMCA Modified winner will earn $1,255 along with a berth of the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. KILGORE, Texas – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars chase a $1,200 top check at Lone Star Speedway’s Saturday, Feb. 11 Lone Star Sprint Smackdown. A minimum of $200 will be paid to take the green flag in the main event. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded. Tow money is $100 and there is no entry fee. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. Track packing is at 5:45 p.m. with hot laps and racing to follow.
