By Greg Aregoni

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (July 18) – You always remember that first career win. Usually it happens with a heat race win one week and the feature later on. For Beau Handschke it just decided to happen on the same exact night.

Handschke picked up his first career 141 Speedway heat race win and then later Saturday won the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature.

Brandon Long won many features in his Northern SportMod career. It took just four months to earn his first career Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified win. Long outlasted defending champion Johnny Whitman and older brother Josh for the win.

John Heinz earned his sixth IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win. Part-timer Matt Brehmer returned after a six-week absence to win the Mach-1 Sport Compact main event.
