Hinton gets birthday win at Stuart

STUART, Iowa (May 31) – Jerry Hinton blew out the birthday candles and extinguished his Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod opponents Sunday at Stuart Speedway.

Hinton started seventh and took over the lead on lap eight, after Colton Nelson slid high in the first turn.

Kody Havens was second and Clint Luellen recovered from a lap one spin to finish third.

Casey Greubel was a first-time winner in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, getting the best of runner-up Marcus Fagan and Josh Daniels in third.

Josh Gilman had the fastest ride in the IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified feature while 18th starting Luke Wanninger had the edge over Shane DeMey for second following a late restart.

Austin Luellen scored another IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock victory. Jamie Schirm was second and John Watson took third.

Dean Richards led from the fourth lap to the finish in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts. Logan Rich­ards was second and third was Jacob Peters.
