Four Late Model Drivers Collect Sunoco Bonus Bucks in August

VINTON, Iowa (Sept. 4, 2026) — Four Sunoco IMCA Late Model competitors collected Sunoco Bonus Bucks awards during August, while additional contingency prizes were awarded at sanctioned events in Iowa, Illinois, and South Dakota.

The month’s Bonus Bucks action began Aug. 8 at 34 Raceway, where Andy Nezworski of Blue Grass, Iowa, captured the feature victory and the $300 Sunoco Bonus Bucks award. Tommy Elston finished second, Jake Griffin was third, Travis Denning came home fourth, and Logan Veloz completed the top five.

Elston received the Wehrs Machine & Racing Products award, Griffin collected the Kevko Racing Oil Pan certificate, Denning earned the Stakt Products quarter panel award, and Curtis Glover claimed the Penske Racing Shocks certificate. Jesse Bodin received the PEM Racing gear set certificate, while Boles Motorsports earned the Justice Brothers Hard Charger Award.

Denning, of Sterling, Illinois, collected the Sunoco Bonus Bucks award Aug. 23. Starting eighth, Denning raced to the feature victory ahead of Jesse Bodin, while Logan Veloz advanced from ninth to third. Mitch Morris finished fourth, and Nathan Balensiefen rounded out the top five.

One night later at Davenport Speedway, Cruz Birkhofer of Muscatine, Iowa, captured both the feature victory and the Sunoco Bonus Bucks award. Tommy Elston charged from 11th to second, Dalton Simonsen finished third, Nathan Balensiefen was fourth, and Blaise Lewis completed the top five.

The August slate concluded Aug. 28 at Park Jefferson Speedway, where Drew Baker of Omaha, Nebraska, raced from eighth to the feature victory and collected the Sunoco Bonus Bucks award. Zach Zeitner finished second after starting ninth, Kole Nordquist was third, Eric Faber came home fourth, and John Winge rounded out the top five.

Zeitner received the KSE Racing Products certificate, Faber earned the Penske Racing Shocks award, Nordquist collected the Stakt Products quarter panel award, and Camden Preble received the PEM Racing gear set certificate.

The Sunoco Bonus Bucks program continues Sept. 18 during the Tiny Lund Memorial at Shelby County Speedway. An additional Sunoco Bonus Bucks night has also been added Oct. 3 at Boone County Raceway in Albion, Nebraska, during the Hasse Memorial, which pays $6,000 to win for the Sunoco IMCA Late Models.

VINTON, Iowa (May 22, 2024) – Bonuses of $250 are on the line at each of three IMCA Sunoco Late Model events over the long Memorial holiday weekend. Sunoco fuels up for 32nd season as IMCA sponsor

LINWOOD, Pa. (Feb. 13, 2024) – The manufacturer of The Official Fuel of IMCA returns to a number of sponsorship roles with the sanctioning body and its 9,000-plus member drivers in 2024. Bonus Bucks Up for Grabs During 2025 Sunoco IMCA Late Model Bonus Money Nights

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (May 29, 2025) — Drivers competing in the IMCA Sunoco Late Model division will have more than just points to race for this season, with a series of special events offering bonus money at select tracks across Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois. The 2025 Sunoco Late Model Bonus Money Nights schedule features 13 designated events at premier Midwest ovals, rewarding competitors with added cash and heightened prestige throughout the summer. The program began on May 24 at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa, where Kale Kosiski took home the first bonus of the year.
