Sunoco Bonus Bucks Winners Recognized During July Late Model Events

VINTON, Iowa (July 27, 2026) — Three Sunoco IMCA Late Model competitors collected Sunoco Bonus Bucks awards during a busy month of July, while additional contingency prizes were awarded at sanctioned events across Nebraska.

The scheduled July 18 Sunoco Bonus Bucks event at 34 Raceway was postponed because of inclement weather and has been rescheduled for Aug. 1.

The program resumed July 23 at US 30 Speedway, where Zach Zeitner of Bellevue, Nebraska, raced to the feature victory. Having already claimed a Sunoco Bonus Bucks award earlier this season, the Bonus Bucks certificate rolled to runner-up Tyler Iverson of Albion. Drew Baker charged from 16th to third, while Andy Eickhoff finished fourth and Jody Krug rounded out the top five.

Zeitner received the Wehrs Machine & Racing Products award, Eickhoff earned the Brinn Transmission certificate, Baker collected the Kevko Racing Oil Pan and Justice Brothers Hard Charger awards, Jody Krug claimed the Stakt Products quarter panel award, and Jordan Krug earned the PEM Racing gear set certificate as the 10th-place finisher.

One night later at Boone County Raceway, Beau Johnson of Plainview captured the feature victory and the Sunoco Bonus Bucks award. Iverson finished second, Mark Lueken was third, Greg Krohn advanced from 11th to fourth, and Landen Rojewski completed the top five.

Krohn’s drive through the field earned him both the Justice Brothers Hard Charger Award and the KSE Racing Products certificate. Iverson received the Wehrs Machine & Racing Products award, Lueken claimed the Stakt Products quarter panel award, Rojewski earned the Penske Racing Shocks certificate, and Dan Lueken collected the PEM Racing gear set award.

The July slate concluded July 25 at Off Road Speedway, where Derek Daly of Omaha led all 25 laps to score the feature victory and the Sunoco Bonus Bucks award. Nelson Vollbrecht finished second, Eric Vanosdall was third, Ben Sukup came home fourth, and Devin Johnson completed the top five.

Vollbrecht received the KSE Racing Products certificate, Vanosdall earned the Penske Racing Shocks award, Sukup collected the Brinn Transmission certificate, Johnson claimed the Stakt Products quarter panel award, and Jon Plowman received the PEM Racing gear set certificate.

The rescheduled 34 Raceway Bonus Bucks event will be held Aug. 1, followed by makeup events Aug. 15 at Maquoketa Speedway and Aug. 28 at Park Jefferson Speedway. The program concludes Sept. 18 during the Tiny Lund Memorial at Shelby County Speedway.

Late leads pay off in Off Road features

The winners in each, the IMCA Sunoco Late Models, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, didn’t obtain the lead until at least midway through their respective races, but all made it to victory lane. Matt Haase, for example, needed 13 of the Late Models’ 25 laps to move up from his middle-of-the-field starting position, but when he got to the front he took full advantage of the opportunity, earning his first Off Road Speedway win of the season. Haase, who had only one other top five finish in eight feature performances, passed Devin Johnson in turn four of the first lap following a caution, then sped away from the rest of the pack and also effectively handled lapped traffic to win handily with second-place finisher Cory Dumpert unable to make up ground. Off Road Speedway doubles up with make-up features

(June 17, 2023) – Off Road Speedway doubled up on its regular slate of racing Saturday night, adding the features that were rained out a week ago to offer race fans and drivers a two-for-one bonus opportunity. For some drivers, who appear to be finding the most effective setup for the Norfolk track and are preparing their cars accordingly, that became a chance to double up on finishes among the top five or, in some cases, to notch another win. Four-time defending national champion Cory Dumpert picked up his third Off Road Speedway feature win of the season in the IMCA Sunoco Late Model division. Maupin Charges to STIMS Victory at Cotton Bowl Speedway

A hard-fought battle for the lead triggered the race’s biggest incident, and it was the driver who started sixth who was left standing at the end. Dewease Dominates Caution-Free Winchester Feature

(July 25, 2026) — Cole Dewease continued his outstanding 2026 campaign Saturday night, charging to the lead early and driving away to win the Virginia Sprint Series and Laurel Highlands Sprint Series co-sanctioned RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Winchester Speedway. Dylan Shatzer and Matt Mullins shared the front row for the caution-free main event, with Shatzer taking the early advantage while Mullins and Dewease settled in close behind. Dewease wasted little time moving into second before making the winning pass on lap five. Once out front, the Fayetteville, Pennsylvania driver expertly navigated lapped traffic while Shatzer gave chase. Behind the leaders, Mullins battled with Donnie Hendershot and A.J. Elston Becomes Seventh Different Davenport Late Model Winner

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (July 24, 2026) — The streak continued Friday night at Davenport Speedway as Tommy Elston became the seventh different winner in seven Sunoco IMCA Late Model features this season, highlighting the final race before the Mississippi Valley Fair. Making his first Davenport start of the year, the Keokuk driver charged from 12th to capture his eighth victory of the season. Jesse Bodin led the opening 10 laps before surrendering the lead to Travis Denning. Denning’s time out front was brief, however, as Elston powered into the lead on lap 13 and drove away to the checkered flag. Blaise Lewis finished second while Denning settled for third.
