ANTIOCH, Calif. (Aug. 22, 2026) — Kenneth Robles of Rio Vista won the 20-lap Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event Saturday night at Antioch Speedway after a spirited battle with point leader Fred Ryland.
Dave Hill of San Francisco led the opening lap before Robles used an inside pass on the backstretch to take command. His father, Jason Robles of Rio Vista, went low in turn four to take second from Hill.
Ryland began working his way forward, making an outside pass on Hill for third before going high in turn two on lap six to take second from Jason Robles. A yellow flag later that lap regrouped the field with Kenneth Robles leading Ryland and Jason Robles.
Robles and Ryland pulled away from the pack as Ryland repeatedly looked to the inside. A low move in turn four on lap 12 gave Ryland momentum, and the two crossed the start/finish line in a dead heat.
Moments later, Ryland lost power in turn two, ending his challenge for the win.
Kenneth Robles led Jason Robles and Hill on the restart, but Hill made an inside pass in turn four on lap 14 to take second. Rookie Nick Friend briefly grabbed the position with an inside move on the frontstretch on lap 16 before Hill went low in turn four a lap later to reclaim the spot.
Kenneth Robles had a straightaway advantage when the checkered flag flew, scoring his second EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region victory of the season. Both have come at Antioch.
Hill finished second ahead of Jason Robles, Friend, and Scott Foster of Oakley.
Foulger Wins Fourth at Antioch; Pearce Secures Championship
Troy Foulger of Oakley won the 20-lap IMCA Modified feature after also winning his eight-lap heat race earlier in the evening.
Foulger charged into the lead at the start ahead of Andrew Pearce of Oakley and Watsonville Speedway champion Jim Pettit II of Prunedale.
A yellow flag waved after just one lap for Antioch’s Gary Hetrick in turn four, but Foulger continued to lead Pearce and Pettit on the restart. Clark Guglielmoni of Vacaville used an inside pass on the frontstretch on lap five to take third from Pettit.
Foulger set a strong pace at the front of the pack and began putting distance between himself and Pearce as the race continued. He maintained the advantage through the checkered flag for his fourth DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season, with all four coming at Antioch.
Pearce had a comfortable hold on second at the finish, which was enough for him to secure the Antioch Speedway track championship. Guglielmoni finished third, Pettit was fourth, and Tyler Browne of Antioch rounded out the top five.
Crebs Goes Flag-to-Flag for First Antioch SportMod Win
Bo Crebs of Yreka won the 20-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod Main Event in just his fourth visit to Antioch Speedway and his first since April.
Crebs won his eight-lap heat race earlier in the evening and led from the start in the Jerry Movrich-owned entry.
Alfred Johnson of Antioch ran second early before previous winner Jason Ryan Jr. of Oakley slipped into third on lap two. A yellow flag for James Graessle of Antioch on lap eight gave Ryan an opportunity, and he raced past Johnson for second on the restart.
Crebs continued to set the pace before a turn four tangle involving state point leader Jeff Bentancourt of Brentwood, Mark Garner of Antioch and Kelly Campanile of Oakley brought out another yellow flag on lap 12.
Following another caution on lap 14, Crebs led Ryan and Al Johnson on the restart. Garner used a low pass in turn four on lap 16 to take third from Johnson, but Watsonville champion Danny Wagner of Bay Point grabbed the position two laps later.
Crebs maintained a half-straightaway advantage over Ryan at the checkered flag for his fourth victory of the season, with each coming at a different track.
Ryan finished second ahead of Wagner, Johnson, and point leader Fred Ryland of Brentwood.
