Dewease Dominates Caution-Free Winchester Feature

(June 20, 2026) — Jacob Gomola of Guys Mills, Pennsylvania, led the final 24 laps and survived several late restarts to capture the Virginia Sprint Series, Laurel Highlands Sprint Series, PA Sprint Series and RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Hagerstown Speedway. The victory was his first at the historic half-mile oval and his second win of the 2026 season, following an April triumph at Clinton County Speedway. Thirty-six RaceSaver Sprint Cars checked in for the annual Dad’s Night Out at the Races program, with track officials expanding the feature field to 28 starters. Tyler Erdley and Zach Rhodes brought the field to green, but Gomola quickly found speed on the bottom groove and surged to the lead on the opening lap. (May 22) – Dave Grube topped the 25-car field Saturday night in a Hagerstown Speedway event co-sanctioned by the Virginia Sprint Series and Laurel Highland Sprint Series. Donny Hendershot and Alex Schmiedel paced the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car field to green and Hendershot out first but nobody was getting away. While leading on lap three, Hendershot slowed to a stop and Grube took over on the restart, bringing Brad Mellott with him.  The laps went by quickly on the wide smooth oval as Grube and Mellott entered lapped traffic with Jerald Harris and Dylan Shatzer closing in. Shatzer got by Harris for third and was working on Mellott, allowing Grube to start inching away as the two raced for second. (Sept. 16) – Jerald Harris in the Harris Movers IMCA RaceSaver Sprinter sure had a handle on the Langley Speedway Saturday evening as he led every lap for a convincing win, his Virginia Sprint Series-leading third of the year. Harris and Matt Mullins lead the field to green with a bad outcome leaving Chris Humblet and Aaron Leach being towed to the infield and finished for the night. The second start was a good one as Harris jumped out and had Mullins right behind with Caleb Harris in third and Matthew Leach fourth. Harris was on a rail lap after lap with Mullins holding on the second as Leach made his way to third. Leach was all over Mullins when they got to traffic but Mullins stayed smooth and limited chances for Leach to pass.
