BRITT, Iowa (July 24, 2026) — One of the signature events of the Hancock County Fair returns Tuesday, July 28, as the Black Dirt Nationals brings a full night of IMCA racing to Hancock County Speedway.
Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars each race for $1,000 to win, while Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods compete for $600 to win, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks battle for a $500 winner’s share.
The Modified feature is a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifying event, with the winner earning eligibility to attempt to qualify for the invitational, held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September. The Stock Car feature is a B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational qualifying event, with the winner earning eligibility to attempt to qualify for the invitational, also held during Super Nationals in September.
Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing National, regional, and Iowa State points will be awarded in all IMCA divisions. Modifieds compete for Razor Chassis North Central Region points, Stock Cars race for EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region points, and Hobby Stocks compete for B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region points.
The format for the night will be draw/redraw.
Held during the annual Hancock County Fair, the event combines an evening of championship-caliber racing with one of north Iowa’s premier summer celebrations. Fans can enjoy everything the fair has to offer before settling in for a night of side-by-side action on the famed black dirt.
The evening will also feature a candy toss for young fans during intermission, courtesy of 3D Trophy and Awards.
Pit meeting and driver check-in are scheduled for 6:45 p.m., with hot laps at 7 p.m., and racing immediately following.
Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-16, and free for children 5 and under. Pit passes are $35 for adults (11 and older), and $15 for children ages 6-10.
