ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 18, 2026) — By the time feature racing began Saturday night at Arlington Raceway, the track had slickened off through the middle while still allowing plenty of side-by-side racing. The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature showcased those conditions, with Dan Scharpe leading the opening lap before a thrilling three-wide battle over the closing laps saw Cory Probst charge from 10th starting to score the victory.
On lap two, Taylor Manderfield spun entering turn four and collected Patrick Schauer to bring out the caution.
Jordan Robinson grabbed the lead on the restart while Cory Probst and Austin Jahnz quickly joined the battle. Jahnz briefly led at the halfway point before Robinson regained the advantage the following lap.
With three laps remaining, the leaders raced three-wide down the backstretch as Probst powered to the outside of Robinson while Jahnz challenged on the inside. Probst completed the winning move and held on for the victory.
The Brewster driver earned his seventh B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory of the season, with four coming at Arlington Raceway.
Robinson finished second, Jahnz advanced to third, Scharpe was fourth, and Mason Goettl completed the top five.
Coopman Scores Sport Compact Feature Victory
The Sunoco IMCA Sport Compact feature was called back on the original start after the field bunched together entering turn four.
Alan Lahr paced the early laps before ninth-starting Nate Coopman found speed around the high side and charged to the front.
The Mankato driver raced to the feature victory while collecting his third win of the season, with all three coming at Arlington Raceway.
Lahr finished second, Dale Gatton got third, Emily Christenson was fourth, and Jack Gatton completed the top five.
Larson Strikes Late in SportMods
Three different drivers held the lead in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature.
Beau Frauendienst paced the opening laps before Jeff Carter drove underneath him to take command. A spin by Matthew Luebke in turn two slowed the action, and Carter again pulled away on the restart while Eric Larson and Matthew Schoenke gave chase.
As the white flag waved, Larson found fresh grip and surged past Carter to steal the victory.
The Madison Lake driver raced from 10th to score his eighth victory of the season, with five coming at Arlington Raceway.
Carter was second, Cole Hesse charged from ninth to third, Chris Neisen got fourth, and Joey Reimers completed the top five.
Brett Allen Overtakes Son for Sprint Car Win
Andrew Allen controlled much of the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature and appeared headed to victory.
Following a caution for Matt Johnson, who struck an infield tire in turn three, Andrew again led the field to green.
However, going down the backstretch he drifted slightly high, allowing his father Brett Allen to drive underneath and complete the winning pass.
The Gaylord driver started fifth and earned his fourth RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car victory of the season, with all four coming at Arlington Raceway.
Andrew Allen finished second, Bill Johnson advanced to third, Hannah Graf was fourth, and Neil Stevens rounded out the top five.
Hatlestad Dominates Modified Main
J.J. Reimers led briefly before Clint Hatlestad took over exiting the third turn on the opening lap of the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature.
From there, Hatlestad was never challenged, repeatedly pulling away whenever Dan Menk narrowed the gap.
The Glencoe driver earned his seventh Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season, with six coming at Arlington Raceway.
Menk finished second, Matthew Looft was third at the wire, Chad Porter was fourth, and Jason Schroeder got fifth.
Loverude Pulls Away for First Stock Car Victory
Joe Domeier jumped to the early lead in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature before Ryan Bjerkeset nosed ahead at the stripe.
The racing quickly intensified as the field fanned out four-wide entering turn two. Trent Loverude found momentum around the high side and surged into the lead down the backstretch.
Loverude steadily increased his advantage while weaving through lapped traffic to secure his first Stock Car victory of the season and add his name to the list of EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region winners in 2026.
The New Ulm driver started eighth. Dan Mackenthun advanced from 10th to second, Matthew Looft charged from 12th to third, Dakota Robinson finished fourth, and Daniel Eckblad advanced from 11th to complete the top five.
