EAGLE, Neb. (June 27, 2026) — Gaige Weldon completed an incredible charge from 11th on the starting grid, throwing a race-winning slide job on Brandon Horton coming to the checkered flag to capture a thrilling RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature Saturday night at Eagle Raceway.

Nathan Weiler paced the opening lap before Monty Ferriera raced into the lead on lap two. Horton worked his way forward and grabbed the top spot with seven circuits remaining, but Weldon was slicing through the field.

The Hinton, Iowa, driver climbed to second after passing both Tyler Drueke and Horton with just a handful of laps left, then threw a perfectly timed slider entering the final corners to steal the victory on the final lap. It was his first win of the season.

Horton settled for second, Drueke finished third, Ferriera crossed the stripe fourth, and Weiler completed the top five.

Thompson Reclaims Lead for First Modified Victory of 2026

Nate Thompson regained the lead following a late restart and held off a charging Dustin Andersen to win the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature. It is the first time the Fremont driver has done so this year in the Jet Racing Central Region.

Thompson led the opening laps before Bob Zoubek took command on lap six. Multiple cautions kept the field bunched together until Thompson reclaimed the lead on the lap-10 restart.

Andersen, who started 11th, stormed through the field in the closing laps, pulling off a two-for-one pass to climb into second, but he ran out of time to challenge the leader.

Adam Wasserman finished third ahead of Zoubek and Chad Andersen.

Richards Credited with Stock Car Win

The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature ran caution free, but the final outcome wasn’t decided until post-race technical inspection.

Dillon Richards took the checkered flag first after assuming the lead on lap six, while Mason Richards remained in contention throughout the 20-lap event.

Following post-race inspection, Dillon Richards was disqualified for a trailing arm infraction, elevating Mason Richards to the victory and earning the Denton driver his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of 2026.

Kyle Vanover charged from 11th to finish second, Casey Woken advanced from 16th to third, R.J. Macku was fourth and Trevor Baker completed the top five.

Ramsey Collects First Career Hobby Stock Victory

Tyler Ramsey tracked down Brad Burhenne in lapped traffic to score his first career Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature victory.

Burhenne led the opening laps before Ramsey, who started eighth, steadily reeled him in. Lapped traffic with five laps remaining opened the door for Ramsey to make the winning pass. The Papillion driver added his name to the list of 2026 B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region winners.

Burhenne finished second, Eric Chab advanced from 10th to third, Colin Hein charged from 12th to fourth, and David Carter rounded out the top five.

Floyd Leads Every Lap for SportMod Win

Aiden Floyd went wire-to-wire to win the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature, giving the Lincoln driver his first victory of the season.

Starting from the pole, Floyd controlled the race despite a late caution that erased his advantage. He executed a flawless restart and pulled away over the closing laps.

Matt Andrews finished second, Derek Hall was third, Cole Wayman rallied from 12th to fourth and Noah Williams completed the top five.
