JACKSON, Minn. (June 25, 2026) — Defending IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car national champion Lee Goos Jr. charged from 12th starting position to capture a thrilling victory Thursday night at Jackson Motorplex during the second round of the Heiman Fire Equipment Mayhem Summer Series.

The Hartford, South Dakota, driver methodically carved through the field before making the winning pass with four laps remaining. Goos then held off the competition over the closing circuits to earn his fourth career Jackson Motorplex victory.

The triumph was Goos’ fourth overall victory of the 2026 season and his first at Jackson.

Dylan Waxdahl was credited with second, followed by Jake Greenwood and Aydin Lloyd. Trevor Serbus completed the top five after advancing from 11th on the starting grid.

Braden Ockenga, Lloyd, Greenwood and Waxdahl won the evening’s heat races, while Jeremy Schultz claimed the B Main.

Four Tuesday dates for five IMCA divisions slated at Jackson Motorplex

JACKSON, Minn. – Four Tuesday dates for five IMCA divisions are on the upcoming Jackson Motorplex schedule. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts take to the four-tenth’s mile dirt oval at Jackson on June 9, June 30, July 21 and Aug. 25. The Dirt Knights Tour for IMCA Modifieds is in town for the July date. Tuesday’s Dirt Knights Tour show among events as Jackson Motorplex suspends remaining 2020 schedule

JACKSON, Minn. – Due to the state restrictions, limitations on crowds and lack of recent updates for outdoor venues in Minnesota, the Jackson Motorplex has decided to suspend all remaining events in 2020 effective immediately. Among the events affected is the Tuesday, July 21 Speed Shift TV Dirt Knights Tour for IMCA Modifieds. The 11th annual tour opens July 20 at Park Jefferson Speedway and is at Buena Vista Raceway on July 22. Monday’s main event at Jefferson, S.D., pays $1,500. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and racing follows 6:30 p.m. hot laps. And on Wednesday at Alta, Iowa, the feature pays $1,000 to win with gates opening at 5 p.m. and racing following 7 p.m. hot laps. Both tour events are 2020 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifying events.

Serbus Scores Sprint Car Win No. 6 of 2025 With Dominant Jackson Motorplex Performance

(July 25, 2025) — Trevor Serbus led the distance of the 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event at Jackson Motorplex for his first victory at the track since 2022 and his sixth overall this year at three different facilities. Following a caution on the start of the feature, the race ran non-stop until Lap 18 when second-running Lee Goos Jr. collided with a lapped car entering turn one. John Lambertz, who was running fifth, also sustained race-ending damage after clipping the front end of the stopped Goos Jr. Dusty Ballenger recorded a runner-up result – 1.933 seconds behind Serbus – with Brandon Halverson placing third.

Pettit Holds Off Late Charge for Watsonville Victory

(June 26, 2026) — West Coast Stock Car Hall of Famer Jim Pettit II continued his mastery of Watsonville Speedway Friday night, wasting little time taking command of the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature. The Prunedale driver raced into the lead at the drop of the green before surviving numerous restarts and relentless late pressure to secure the $1,000 victory. Shryock Nips Fett at the Line in Hancock County Stock Car Thriller

By Chad Meyer BRITT, Iowa (June 26, 2026) — A last-corner pass and a drag race to the checkered flag highlighted Friday night’s IMCA action at Hancock County Speedway as defending national champion Kelly Shryock stole the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature in dramatic fashion. Colby Fett appeared headed for victory after racing into the lead and controlling much of the 20-lap feature. But Shryock steadily reeled him in during the closing laps before making a bold move entering the final corner. The Fertile driver completed the pass exiting turn four, edging Fett to the finish line by just 0.012 seconds.
