Clemens Charges from 10th for Electric City Modified Victory

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (June 20, 2026) — Ty Clemens showed why he sits atop the Electric City Speedway points standings, charging from 10th starting position to capture the 20-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature.

The evening’s action began with a wild opening heat race. Cory Craver rolled his machine between turns one and two, bringing out a caution and ending his night early. On the final lap, Kory Wermling appeared headed for victory before his engine failed coming to the checkered flag. Despite the mechanical issues, Wermling carried enough momentum to maintain the lead as David Davis made a last-ditch charge exiting turn four, only to brush the outside wall while attempting a pass. Travis Shumate finished second and Devon Jadwin third. Kaycie Kynett won the second heat race over Braidyn LaMere and Kolby Hannah.

The 20-lap Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature saw Shumate lead the opening circuit before Joey Price took command on lap two and paced the field through lap 14. Clemens steadily worked his way through the pack and finally wrestled away the lead on lap 15. Once out front, the Belgrade driver pulled away to secure his fifth DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season and fourth at Electric City Speedway in 2026.

Price held on for second, while Hannah advanced from eighth starting position to complete the podium in third. Shumate finished fourth and C.R. Eisenzimer rounded out the top five.

The victory further strengthened Clemens’ hold on the track championship battle. Through six feature events, he owns four victories and five top-five finishes, continuing an impressive run in the Electric City Speedway title chase.

Johnson shines at Electric City

By Ben Deatherage GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The parade of different Friesen Performance IMCA Modified winners continued Friday at Electric City Speedway with Taylor Johnson taking his turn in victory lane. Still looking to have its first repeat winner of 2024, the Modifieds saw Pacer Popham get ahead of Mike Pistelak to pace the pack on the initial green. Johnson tried to sneak inside of the leader in turn two but could not perform the overtake. Popham held his ground against Johnson as the race unfolded, with Pistelak and Joey Price battling for third. Price passed Pistelak on lap three while Popham and Johnson were starting to inch closer to each other. Price suddenly got added to the mix, setting the stage for a brief three-car tussle. Popham experienced mechanical issues on lap six, forcing Price and Johnson into evasive action. Clemens proves fastest In the Falls at Electric City

(July 4, 2024) – Fireworks on the track followed fireworks over Great Falls, and the rest of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified field followed Ty Clemens to the finish of the 40-lap Fastest In the Falls main event at Electric City Speedway. The Belgrade hotshoe, already Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible, banked $2,100 for the Fourth of July victory, which came ahead of hometown speedsters Joey Price, Kolby Hannah and David Davis. (Apr. 26, 2025) — Jordan Tocci made a statement on the second night of the 2025 Montana Spring Roundup, powering to victory in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Electric City Speedway. The win marked Tocci’s first of the year in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region and capped off a competitive season-opening doubleheader at the 3/8-mile Great Falls oval. Sixteen-year-old Tyler Leach led the opening lap of Saturday’s 20-lap main before Tocci and Cody Blixt entered the fray. Tocci, the two-time defending Gallatin Speedway champion from Three Forks, surged to the front on lap two just before a caution halted Leach’s run. Tocci dominated the ensuing restart until a lap six restart allowed Blixt to briefly slide past for the lead. Yeager Sweeps Modified Weekend at Sweetwater Speedway

(June 20, 2026) — Sweetwater Speedway lived up to its reputation for exciting racing during a thrilling two-night showcase at the Rock Springs 3/8-mile oval, where Bryson Yeager stole the spotlight by sweeping the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified features and increasing his DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region win total to four. Shepherd Survives Late Pressure for Boone SportMod Win

By Jane Burd BOONE, Iowa (June 20, 2026) — Brayden Shepherd led all 18 laps but still had to withstand a furious late charge from Mike Smith to capture the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Boone Speedway. The Altoona driver held command throughout the contest before Smith, who advanced nine positions, closed rapidly in the closing laps. Shepherd maintained a slim advantage and secured the victory at the checkered flag for his second win of the season at two different tracks.
