Harris Flies to Virginia Sprint Series Victory at Natural Bridge

NATURAL BRIDGE, Va. (May 30, 2026) — The Virginia Sprint Series returned to Natural Bridge Speedway on a clear and warm evening, and Jerald Harris flew to his first victory of the season in RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car competition.

Heat race wins went to Billy Hubbard and Dylan Shatzer.

Billy Hubbard and Harris paced the field to green, with Harris immediately taking command. Shatzer settled into second while Hubbard held third as the field raced around the fast and smooth clay oval.

Harris consistently found the right line around the speedway while Shatzer remained within striking distance. Behind them, Daren Bolac worked his way forward from ninth starting position and chased down Hubbard in the battle for third.

Further back, Caleb Harris and Matt Mullins put on one of the night’s best battles, swapping positions nearly every lap while contesting a spot inside the top five.

As the laps wound down, Shatzer closed the gap on the leader, but Harris remained smooth and steady to the checkered flag. The Rockingham driver secured the win.

At the finish it was Harris over Shatzer, Hubbard, Bolac and Caleb Harris. Bolac’s charge from ninth to fourth was one of the strongest runs of the night.

Three RaceSaver series run Saturday at Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN, Md. – The Pennsylvania Sprint Series will join two other IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car series this Saturday night for a Father’s Day Weekend special program at Hagerstown Speedway. PASS, the host Virginia Sprint Series and the Laurel Highlands Sprint Series will vie for supremacy June 19 on the half-mile track alongside Conococheague Creek in Washington County, Md. Four weeks ago, PASS regular Dave Grube invaded a VSS/LHSS co-sanctioned race at Hagerstown and came away with the victory. An earlier RaceSaver date was rained out. In 2019, VSS stalwart Jerald Harris was a winner, along with former PASS drivers Zach Newlin and Scott Ellerman. A large field of cars is expected Saturday, including Grube and the last two IMCA RaceSaver national champions, Ken Duke and Garrett Bard. Young Lasso’s Sprint Car Field at Winchester

By Jim Haines WINCHESTER, Va. (July 26, 2025) – Drew Young spent years on the rodeo circuit, but on Saturday night, it was horsepower of a different kind that he wrangled. The former rodeo cowboy turned racer put a lasso on the field at Winchester Speedway, scoring his first RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car victory of the season in Virginia Sprint Series competition. The event was co-sanctioned with the Laurel Highlands and PASS Sprint Series under hot and humid skies at the Northern Virginia clay oval. Bolac is the fastest at Dixieland’s Fast Friday

(June 8) – Dixieland Speedway hosted the first Virginia Sprint Series Fast Friday event of the season after an earlier rainout and Daren Bolac was the fastest at his hometown track. Bill Rice and Chris Ware paced to IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car field to green with Ware getting the run off the top and Rice down low. Ware was steady up top but ultimately no match for Bolac, who proved the bottom was fast as well in taking away the lead. Tom Humphries got by Rice and was shadowing Ware lap after lap but their pursuit was changing every corner of every lap as Jerald Harris, C.J. Faison, Tony Harris, Jake McLain, Jeff Taylor and Randy Sterling were all in a pack. Bolac stayed strong up front and Humphries got by Ware, leaving him to deal with Faison. Tomlinson Ends Dacotah Drought in Modified Main

By Becca Pelkey MANDAN, N.D. (May 29, 2026) — Dacotah Speedway was back in action on Friday night after weather forced the cancellation of the previous week’s program. Chris “The Crowbar” Tuchscherer started on the pole for the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature, but it was Marcus Tomlinson who quickly established himself as the driver to beat. The Turtle Lake racer grabbed the lead in the early stages before defending track champion Jeremy Keller reeled him in. The pair raced side by side for several laps in one of the night’s most entertaining battles. Contact between the leaders allowed Shawn Strand to close the gap, and with six laps remaining, Strand moved past Keller for second and began chasing down Tomlinson. Despite the pressure, Tomlinson remained composed and drove to victory, collecting his second Razor Chassis North Central Region win of the season and first Dacotah Speedway triumph of 2026. Ferrando Charges from Eighth for Sunset Speedway Victory

(May 30, 2026) — Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds packed the pit area Saturday night at Sunset Speedway Park, producing the division’s largest turnout of the season and one of its most entertaining races. Joey Tardio, piloting Jake Walters owned No. 67 machine, surprised many by leading the opening half of the feature. Behind him, an intense battle for second developed among Kenny Miller, Greg Walters and Jeff Lovell, with the trio frequently racing three-wide around the Banks bullring. While Tardio controlled the early stages, Grey Ferrando steadily worked his way forward from the eighth starting position. The Scio driver eventually took command on lap 11 and raced to victory, adding the feature win to his trophy dash triumph earlier in the evening. Betts Completes MASSive Weekend Sweep at Bridgeport

(May 30, 2026) — Newark, Delaware’s Troy Betts made it two wins in as many nights as he took top honors in the 25-lap DCB Plumbing & Heating Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series feature presented by Capitol Renegade at Bridgeport Speedway on Saturday night. Betts, who won the MASS event the night before at Georgetown Speedway, took advantage of his front-row starting position and led every lap of the non-stop feature to complete the “MASSive” weekend sweep. Rookie Tyler Grau and Betts brought the field to the green, however third-starting Robbie Stillwaggon surprised the front row with a turn one slider to grab the top spot.
