VINTON, Iowa (Apr. 30, 2026) — Additional drivers were added to the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified eligibility list for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational following April competition, while several already eligible drivers added to their season win totals.
Drivers become eligible by winning IMCA-sanctioned events paying $1,000 or more to win, earning the opportunity to attempt to qualify for the invitational, held during the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s in September at Boone Speedway. invitational.
In the Jet Racing Central Region, Jordan Grabouski earned another qualifying victory on April 17 at Eagle Raceway during the first night of the Icebreaker Challenge, while Cody Laney added to his total with a win the following night in the finale.
The GRT Race Cars South Central Region saw multiple already eligible drivers return to victory lane. Steven Whiteaker Jr. continued his strong season with a qualifying win on April 25 at 105 Motor Speedway during Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series competition. Jared Maupin added another South Central Region qualifier with a win on April 11 at Cotton Bowl Speedway, while Jacob Pirkle added to his total with an April 10 victory at Heart O’ Texas Speedway.
Drivers earning their first qualifying victories of the season in April included Tyson Blood, who secured eligibility with an April 25 win at Skagit Speedway in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region.
In the Close Racing Supply Eastern Region, Don Proctor Jr. earned eligibility with a victory on April 11 at Crystal Motor Speedway, while Nathan Patrick added his name to the list with a win at the same track on April 25.
In the Razor Chassis North Central Region, Cayden Carter secured eligibility with his April 29 victory at Stuart Speedway during the Dynamic Drivelines Dirt Duel.
Attention now turns to a busy slate of May qualifiers across all five Modified regions.
In the Razor Chassis North Central Region, Wisconsin opens the month with 141 Speedway in Francis Creek on May 2, followed by Shawano Speedway on May 16. Minnesota’s Murray County Speedway hosts May 15, while Iowa’s Benton County Speedway holds the Memorial Weekend Rumble on May 24 and Buena Vista Raceway in Alta closes the month on May 27.
In the Jet Racing Central Region, Salina Speedway in Kansas hosts May 2, while Salt City Racing in Hutchinson runs May 8, May 22, and May 29. Batesville Motor Speedway in Arkansas hosts May 8 and 9, while Eagle Raceway in Nebraska headlines the High Bank Heist on May 14 before returning May 24 for Memorial Madness.
The GRT Race Cars South Central Region features the All Star Shootout beginning May 21 at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, followed by Grayson County Speedway on May 22, Kennedale Speedway Park on May 23, and concluding May 24 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway. The Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series also visits I-37 Speedway on May 16.
In the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region, Central Arizona Raceway hosts May 2. In the evergreen state of Washington, Skagit Speedway runs May 2 and May 9, while Grays Harbor Raceway hosts the West Coast Modified Clash on May 23 and 24. Southern Oregon Speedway in White City hosts multiple qualifiers on May 2, May 16, May 29, and May 30.
The Close Racing Supply Eastern Region is led by Michigan’s Crystal Motor Speedway, which hosts May 2, May 16, May 23, May 24, and May 30. I-96 Speedway hosts the Elsie Curtis Memorial on May 8, Merritt Speedway runs May 16 and 24, Silver Bullet Speedway hosts May 23, and Woodhull Raceway in New York closes the month on May 30 with the NY-Penn IMCA Series.
