ARLINGTON, Minn. (Sept. 27, 2025) — Lee Goos Jr. had a clean sweep in the 45th anniversary Sprint Car race at Arlington Raceway, winning the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars feature on Saturday night. Starting on the pole, he never looked back over the 25-lap distance to capture the $4,500 prize.

A first-lap caution for Nate Thelen’s spin brought a quick restart. Zach Glaser passed Gunner Pike to run second until lapped traffic opened the door for Bill Johnson to take the spot, with Trevor Serbus in close pursuit. The top three sliced through traffic until lap 18, when Glaser spun off turn four and exited the race.

Goos maintained command on the restart, with Serbus in second and Johnson in third. Another caution flew when Hannah Graf’s steering broke entering turn two, ending her night. On the final restart, Pike slipped past Johnson for third while Goos and Serbus pulled away in traffic. At the finish, Goos claimed the win, Serbus was second, Pike third, Johnson fourth, and Matt Johnson fifth.

Brett Allen earned the track championship in the division, and Cary Zacharias won the Sprint Cars mechanic race.

Speckman Scores 100th Career Stock Car Win

Matt Speckman celebrated a milestone with his 100th career feature win in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, in a race that went caution-free. Four different drivers led the event, beginning with Shaun Bruns from the front row. Ryan Bjerkeset then took over for seven laps before ninth-starting Josh Larson powered past him on the backstretch.

By lap 15, Speckman was closing quickly, making his move around Bjerkeset on the high side. Lap by lap he reeled in Larson, and the two raced side by side until Speckman edged ahead on the final lap for the thrilling win. Larson settled for second.

Dan Mackenthun earned his 15th track championship in the class, and Jonathan Schroeder won the mechanic race.

Mills Edges Menk in Modified Duel

Jeremy Mills grabbed the early lead in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature, but Dan Menk quickly powered into control on lap two. Menk and Trent Loverude swapped the top spot before Loverude pulled off with mechanical issues.

That left Mills and Menk to battle it out, trading the lead multiple times. On the final lap, Mills surged ahead to take the checkers, with Menk second and Todd Stinehart third.

Loverude claimed the track championship, and Ken Tietz won the mechanic race.

Enter Charges to SportMod Victory and Title

Fifteen cars started the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature. Tim Bergerson led the opening lap before Joey Reimers took over, only to see a second-lap caution end the night for Cole Hesse and Mathew Schoenke.

Reimers resumed the lead on the restart, but 10th-starting Broddy Enter charged through the field and took command on lap five. Jeff Lloyd also moved forward, but Enter maintained his advantage, using lapped cars as a cushion. He captured both the feature win and the track championship. Lloyd finished second and Ben Reierson third.

Tyler Chouanard won the mechanic race in the 75 car.

Lahr Leads Every Lap in Sport Compacts

Alan Lahr led every lap of the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature to take both the win and the track championship. Gary Schumacher exited on lap two with mechanical problems, while Brandon Backstrom ran second the entire way.

Probst Powers to Hobby Stock Win and Title

Two different leaders marked the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature. R.J. Esqueda paced the opening laps before a caution for Dan Scharpe’s turn-four spin. Esqueda regained the lead on the restart, but three laps later 11th-starting Cory Probst stormed to the front and never looked back.

Probst secured both the feature win and the track championship. Esqueda finished second, with Brad Becker third.
