Entry deadline for Prelude set for midnight Thursday, August 28

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 27, 2025) – While record entries for the 43rd annual Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s continue to roll in, drivers wishing to run the Prelude to Super Nationals must be pre-entered for Super Nationals by midnight, Thursday, August 28, to be eligible to compete in this weekend’s event.

The Thursday night deadline also applies to eligible drivers planning to compete in their respective Race of Champions qualifiers and All-Star Invitational events.

The entry deadline does not apply to the main Super Nationals events. Registration will remain open for drivers seeking to qualify for their Big Dance. The deadline also does not apply to Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite drivers as their Super Nationals champion is crowned during Prelude weekend.

Overall, entries currently stand at 1,107, including drivers from 33 states, Canada and Australia.

A complete pre-entry list will be released sometime during the day Friday, August 29.

Due to many questions, here is to clarify pre-entry:

If you are pre-entered for Super Nationals by midnight tomorrow night, August 28, you are automatically registered for the Prelude. No additional registration needed.

You MUST be pre-entered for Super Nationals by midnight tomorrow night, August 28, to be eligible to compete in the Prelude, your respective RoC and/or All-Star Invitational. 

There is NO separate Prelude registration.

Eligibility to compete in ANY non-main Super Nationals event requires you to be registered by midnight tomorrow, August 28.

If pre-registered by midnight, August 28, you are registered for:
✅ Prelude (no separate registration is required)
✅ Super Nationals
✅ Race of Champions qualifying (if eligible)
✅ All-Star Invitational qualifying (if eligible)

If you do NOT register for Super Nationals by midnight Thursday, August 28:
❌️ Prelude (you are not eligible to compete)
❌️ Race of Champions (you are not eligible to compete, regardless of qualifying status, as these events are filled based on pre-entries)
❌️ All-Star Invitational (you are not eligible to compete, regardless of qualifying status, as these events are filled based on pre-entries.)
✅ Super Nationals. (Anyone still not registered for main Super Nationals events may still register throughout the week, so long as qualifying events remain in your division.)

Fast Shafts All-Star eligible list adds six

VINTON, Iowa (April 30, 2024) – Another half-dozen Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers became eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational during a month that saw more than its share of rain and too many rainouts. Chad Andersen won on opening night of the Ice Breaker Challenge at Eagle Raceway and Dylan Sherfick topped WaKeeney’s Buzzard Bash Dash. Murty doubles up at Boone, Lathrop takes First Timer win

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 24, 2024) – Boone Speedway saw its annual Watermelon Classic, P1P Challenge, and First Time Winner Night on Saturday at the track. Dallon Murty doubled up by winning the Watermelon Classic and the P1P features in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Cody Gustoff won his first IMCA Sunoco Stock feature and it was Cam Reimers taking the honors in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. Mike Smith went back to victory lane for winning another IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature and it was Josh May leading flag to flag in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite main event. Extra laps were added to the feature events, extra money was on the line, and of course the drivers were awarded the sought after watermelon! Stock Cars join Modifieds, SportMods when Harris Clash returns to Boone June 24, 2025

BOONE, Iowa (Dec. 20, 2024) – Event promoter Bob Harris had a very early Christmas present for IMCA drivers already looking ahead to the 2025 Harris Clash. The 34th annual Clash will move to Boone Speedway, with the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods joined for the first time by IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars on Tuesday, June 24 at Iowa’s Action Track. The Clash was held once previously at Boone, in 1994. IMCA’s longest-running one-day special had been held at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., since 2018. “Deer Creek has been awesome.
