Stars Align for Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational at Boone Speedway

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 20, 2025) —  The best of the best in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified division will gather for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational, one of the premier showcase events of the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway.

Drivers become eligible for the All-Star Invitational by winning a sanctioned Modified feature event paying a minimum of $1,000 to win. Qualifying for the 2025 edition continues through the final weekend of August, with the full roster of eligible drivers set before race week.

The 2025 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 5 at Boone, with starting spots determined through a combination of group time trials, points, and a final draw.

Two rounds of group time trials on Thursday, Sept. 4 will fill the thirty-car starting field. Round one qualifying will see two drivers from each of the five Modified regions advance, for a total of 10 cars. Round two will then determine the remainder of the starting field, with the fastest 18 drivers from that session advancing.

Rounding out the Modified field will be the top driver in national point standings and the top driver in 40-point feature wins for the current year competing at Super Nationals. Thirty cars will start the Modified All-Star Invitational. No additional provisionals or starting positions will be added. After all qualifying rounds are complete, the final All-Star starting order will be determined by draw.

First from Oregon to qualify, Ferrando has sights on return to Modified dance at Super Nationals

STAYTON, Ore. – Grey Ferrando made history last September as the first driver from Oregon to qualify for the Modified main event at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Ca­sey’s. IMCA Frostbusters start season at Marshalltown, Boone

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April 4, 2023) – Frostbuster action for four IMCA divisions gets the 2023 season started this week at Marshalltown Speedway and Boone Speedway.  Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars for $750 to win Thursday, April 6 and Friday, April 7 at Marshalltown, and Saturday, April 8 at Boone. Feature winners all three nights become eligible to qualify for Fast Shafts or B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitationals. Ten new to Fast Shafts All-Star eligibility

VINTON, Iowa (Aug. 1, 2024) – Ten more Friesen Performance IMCA Modified drivers have put their names on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational eligible list, with feature wins paying $1,000 or more. Tyrone Yazzie and Wyatt Howard were winners at Diamond Mountain Speedway’s Modified Mania. Casey Jo Gemmill collected the $1,000 checkers at Saltcity Racing and Russ Reinwald rocketed to the win at 141 Speedway’s white race. Aaron Turnbull ruled at Dacotah Speedway’s Governor’s Cup, Brandon Schmitt was a winner during Beaver Dam Raceway’s Stock Car Twin 25 and Chris Mills collected the big checkers at Interstate Speedway’s Dave Riley Memorial.
