Nezworski Navigates to Second Late Model Win of Season

DAVENPORT, Iowa (Jun. 27, 2025) — Andy Nezworski picked up his second Sunoco IMCA Late Model feature win of the season at Davenport Speedway. Andy started the 25-lap main from the eighth position. After being mired in fifth for 10 laps, Nezworski used a lower line than others and began to move forward.

With five laps to go, Andy got under race leader Dustin Smith. Once Nezworski cleared Smith, he pulled away. Smith held on for second with C.J. Horn taking third in a race that saw no caution flags.

Paris Pounces Early in Modified Main

Shane Paris scored his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory at Davenport. Paris led all 20 laps of the main after starting in the third position. He now has three wins in the Razor Chassis North Central Region, each at a different Iowa facility. Tony VonDresky started sixth and drove to second by lap seven, but would advance no further. Mitch Way had an up-and-down race before finishing third.

Heath Charges from 10th for First Davenport SportMod Win

In Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod action, Levi Heath captured his first feature win at Davenport and his third of the campaign overall. Levi started the race in 10th and didn’t see the front of the pack until a lap 13 restart. Josh Starr, who had led from the drop of the green, settled for second after a late-race battle with Heath. Tyler Maschmann made a late charge to finish third.

La Mar Blazes to Fourth Hobby Stock Victory at Davenport

Randy La Mar collected his fourth Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock victory of the year at Davenport. Starting eighth, La Mar blazed his way to first by lap five and led the rest of the way. The Buffalo driver now has eight wins in 2025 in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. Jake Gustaf started second and finished second, while Matt Bennett took third.

Salisberry Secures First Mod Lite Feature Win

Brad Salisberry captured his first Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature win. Salisberry took the lead on lap three and held it the rest of the way. Mike Morrow finished second with Nolan Morrow rounding out the podium.

Glover Scores First Davenport Win

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (Apr. 18, 2025) —  Curtis Glover of Knoxville came away with the win in the Sunoco IMCA Late Model feature in exciting style. The 25-lap main event started with Mitch Morris jumping out to the early lead. On lap 16, a bobble by Morris would drop him back to third, behind Glover and Matt Ryan. The top three would finish in that order. It is Glover’s first victory at Davenport. Ryan had to settle for second after starting in the eighth position. Morris held on for third. Spencer Diercks dominated the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. Diercks started on the outside pole and led all 20 laps of the race that went caution free, his first triumph this year in the Razor Chassis North Central Region for the hometown pilot. When the checkers flew, Spencer had a three and a half second lead on second place Ben Chapman. Chapman had started tenth and had moved up to fourth by lap 6. $750 to win feature at Davenport July 24 for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods 

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $750 to win their Mississippi Valley Fair show next Tuesday, July 24 at Davenport Speedway. A minimum of $75 will be paid to start and there is no entry fee for the draw/redraw show, held in conjunction with the World of Outlaws Late Models. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National and Iowa State, but no track points will be awarded. General admission is $25 and box seats are $30. More information about the Northern SportMod portion of the program will be available from the IMCA office.

Opening night for Deery Series moves to Saturday at Maquoketa

DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 12) – Persistent cold and wet weather conditions have resulted in cancellation of tonight’s Rebel 5K Deery Brothers Summer Series event at Davenport Speedway. Opening night for the 33rd annual IMCA Late Model tour moves to Saturday, April 13 at Maquoketa Speedway, with night two of what is now a weekend doubleheader on Sunday, April 14 at Dubuque Speedway.  Both main events pay $2,500 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Maquoketa hosts the inaugural Hershel Roberts/Ray Guss Sr. Memorial on Saturday.  Pit gates open and Late Model pre-tech starts at 2 p.m. Saturday. The drivers’ meeting is at 4:10 p.m. and hot laps are at 4:30 p.m., with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and students and free for ages 12 and under. Pit passes will be $30. Other sanctioned divisions running both nights are the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods.
