US 36 extends deadline for IMCA Missouri Nationals early entry

OSBORN, Mo. (Sept. 26, 2022) – Drivers will have until midnight tonight (Monday) to pre-enter for this weekend’s IMCA Missouri Nationals at US 36 Raceway. 

IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod drivers can go to MyRacePass to pay that $40 fee. Entry for all three divisions is $50 after midnight or at the gate.

RaceSaver Sprint Cars race for $2,000 to win and a minimum of $200 to start, Stock Cars for $2,000 to win, B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility and a minimum of $125 to start, and Northern SportMods for $1,500 to win and a minimum of $100 to start on Oct. 1 at Osborn. Payouts are based on full fields of 24 cars. Hobby Stocks can run with local pure stocks.

Total payout for the fourth annual Missouri Nationals, to be broadcast by IMCA.TV, is $55,000.

An open practice is on the Thursday night card. The pit gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Top 12 drivers that night are locked into Saturday, when the pit gate opens at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 7:30 p.m.

Grandstand admission for adults is $15 on Friday and $20 on Saturday. Kids 7-12 are $5 and six and under are free both days.

Championship Night, Fan Appreciation Friday at US 36 Raceway 

OSBORN, Mo. – US 36 Raceway crowns champions in three IMCA divisions during Fan Appreciation Night this Friday, Aug. 31. Final points races of the season are on the schedule for IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Matt Richards has already clinched the unofficial IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car title at Osborn. General admission for adults is $10 with kids 12 years of age and under getting in free to grandstands. Prices have been rolled back to $1 for hot dogs, pop and water and $2 for adult beverages. There will also be prizes for best Halloween costumes worn by adults and kids.

Martens is final Sprint leader at US 36

By Jacob Blair  OSBORN, Mo. (May 31) – Jake Martens was the third and final leader in the Friday’s IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature at US 36 Raceway. Jack Potter took control early and looked to have the fastest car on the track. Late in the race, however, Potter entered a little high in turn three and slid over the berm, bringing out the caution.  Kenny Potter inherited the lead and held it for a few laps before Martens made the pass. Martens got the win and made a trip to Westfall GMC Victory Lane. Potter finished second with Matt Richards third.  Chad Clancy dominated the IMCA Modified feature while Steve Starmer picked up his first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win of 2019 at US 36 Raceway.  Two weeks ago, Steven Clancy used patience to pick up the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature win. He did the same thing on this night, making a late-race move around Josh Munsen to pick up win number four of the season.

Modified Madness checkers fly for Sobbing, Harker rules SportMod Shootout at U.S. 36

(May 22) – There were many storylines headed into Modified Madness at U.S. 36 Raceway, such as increased payouts and the Wayne Hicks Memorial SportMod Shootout, but the biggest storyline remained with the track. Throughout the week, thanks to Shaw Excavating and the many people involved, the track at U.S. 36 received a complete makeover to improve track conditions. The storyline at the end of the night no longer was about the track, it was about the racing on it. The track raced multi-grooved and smooth all night long and let the racers go after a chance to reach Westfall GMC Victory Lane. Modified Madness was headlined by the IMCA Modifieds and the drivers chasing the $1,066 winner’s check. Jesse Sobbing led the race from start to finish, but it didn’t come without challenges from several different drivers. Chad Andersen, Chad Clancy and 10th starting Steven Bowers Jr. all had their go at Sobbing. Bowers charged late and made a couple looks for the lead, but Sobbing, already on the Fast [Read More]
