Mullen doubles up at Outagamie Speedway

SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 30) – Mike Mullen took home top honors in the IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features Friday at Outagamie Speedway.

Dan Roedl took command early in the Modified main as Tyler Wilson gave chase. Roedl worked the extreme high side to open up a sizable advantage over the field but a caution on nine erased that.

As the green flew, Mullen slashed his way through the field, pulling even with Roedl for the lead. A dive bomb from Mullen gave him the number one spot and once there he never looked back, scoring his third feature win of the season. Wilson was second place and Roedl third.

In the Stock Cars, it was Mullen jumping to the lead from his front row start. Several cautions kept the field bunched but no one could match the raw speed Mullen had as he easily cruised to victory in his G-Force Chassis.

After troubles in the heat race, Brandon Czarapata rallied to place second. Brett Wenzel had a hard-fought battle to place third.

Derek Fehling took command of the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature on lap two and kept the competition at bay as he pulled away to score his first win of the season. Jake Carpenter had a very strong second place and Skyler Woods was third.

With his second feature win of the season Brett Deprez took sole possession of the point lead in the Mach-1 Sport Compacts. David Cox was second and Tony Everard took third.

LaCrosse leads the way at Outagamie

(Aug. 23) – Benji LaCrosse only led one lap of the IMCA Modified feature but it was the one that paid as he snatched the victory from Andy Kleczka Friday at Outagamie Speed­way powered by EWSC.  Kleczka used his front row starting spot to build a huge lead early. That was erased when the cau­tion flew just past midway. The first to challenge for the top spot was last week’s winner Wyatt Block Jr. as he worked down low and Kleczka ran the cushion. Once again Kleczka built a gap as LaCrosse took the runner-up posi­tion with three laps remaining. LaCrosse closed in but remained two car lengths behind.  On the final corners, LaCrosse came in high and dove down the track to the inside of the leader as they came to the checkers. When the dust settled it was LaCrosse winning by the width of his bumper in a thriller. On the other side of the coin it was heartbreak city for Kleczka who had to settle for second. LaCrosse is double winner at Outagamie

 SEYMOUR, Wis. (June, 7) – Benji LaCrosse was the class of two fields, scoring wins in the IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars at Outagamie Speedway powered by Eastern Wiscon­sin Stock Car Racing.  Justin Ritchie jumped to the lead from his front row starting spot in the Modified main. La­Crosse quickly raced to second and set his sights on Ritchie.  With both drivers working the top groove, LaCrosse was forced to the bottom. Lap after lap, LaCrosse gained ground, eventually pulling even for the top spot.  With five laps remaining, LaCrosse took the lead from Ritchie and never looked back, scoring a popular win. Ritchie had his best run of the season to place second.    Kurt Olson led the first six laps of the Stock Car feature until Chaz Van Ooyen raced by for the top spot. Van Ooyen’s reign up front didn’t last long as Eric Arneson slipped by on lap eight.  After starting in row six, LaCrosse raced into the top four midway through the contest. Buckarma, Radtke are IMCA winners at Outagamie

By Scott J. Owen SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 30, 2023) – Nick Buckarma and Matthew Radtke secured their first IMCA wins of the season Friday at Outagamie Speedway. The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature was intense from start to finish, beginning with a four-wide battle for the lead. Darren Otto held the initial lead but his son Nathan took the lead on lap two. Josh Mroczkowski, Buckarma and Dan Sell Jr. soon joined the family feud for the lead. Darren Otto wrestled the lead back on lap four. Mroczkowski took his turn in the lead on lap five. It would be short-lived, however, as Darren Otto took the top spot back on the next circuit. Darren Otto, Buckarma and Mroczkowski went three-wide for the lead on lap 10 with Buckarma gaining the lead. Benji LaCrosse soon joined the leaders as well and moved to second on lap 14.
