Sunday show at Quad City Speedway next for Deery Series

EAST MOLINE, Ill. – The first of back-to-back events in Illinois is this weekend for the Deery Brothers Summer Series.

Quad City Speedway is next on the schedule for the IMCA Late Model tour, with a $2,000 check going to the winner of the Sunday, Aug. 11 main event.

Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 3:30 p.m. at East Moline. Hot laps are at 5:15 p.m. with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $15 for adults, $8 for students ages 6-12 and free for five and under. Pit passes are $35

Also on the Sunday card are IMCA Modifieds and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for national, regional, state and track points.

Jeff Aikey is the only driver with multiple tour wins so far this season, with his most recent and career 70th checkers coming on Aug. 2 at Lee County Speedway.

Justin Kay, Joel Callahan and Eric Pollard own single tour wins. Three second-place showings have helped put Andy Eckrich on top of the point standings heading to East Moline. 

Quincy Raceway hosts another $2,000 to win show on Sunday, Aug. 18. Both Quad City and Quincy events will be broadcast by IMCA.TV.

Deery Series is Quad City Speedway bound for Memorial Weekend show

Hurst gets best of Benton County Deery Series foes

VINTON, Iowa (June 28) – It wasn’t that long ago Jeremiah Hurst wasn’t sure about his future in racing. On Thursday, he was in victory lane telling all about his Deery Brothers Summer Series win at Benton County Speedway. “This is awesome. It’s my first win since my heart attack (last July). It seems like we have a lot of seconds,” said Hurst, most recently runner-up in back-to-back IMCA Late Model tour events last month at Quad City Speedway and Boone Speedway. “It feels really good to be able to win to­night.” Boone had been the site of Hurst’s last Deery win, during the 2002 IMCA Speedway Motors Su­per Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Opening night for Deery Series moves to Saturday at Maquoketa

DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 12) – Persistent cold and wet weather conditions have resulted in cancellation of tonight’s Rebel 5K Deery Brothers Summer Series event at Davenport Speedway. Opening night for the 33rd annual IMCA Late Model tour moves to Saturday, April 13 at Maquoketa Speedway, with night two of what is now a weekend doubleheader on Sunday, April 14 at Dubuque Speedway.  Both main events pay $2,500 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. Maquoketa hosts the inaugural Hershel Roberts/Ray Guss Sr. Memorial on Saturday.  Pit gates open and Late Model pre-tech starts at 2 p.m. Saturday. The drivers’ meeting is at 4:10 p.m. and hot laps are at 4:30 p.m., with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and students and free for ages 12 and under.
