Season championships Sunday at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa – This Sunday, Aug. 26, Dubuque Hose & Hydraulics will present the 2018 season championship races at Dubuque Speedway.

Track championships will be decided in both the Merfeld Brothers Auto IMCA Modified and GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Northern SportMod divisions.

Fans in attendance on Sunday night will have an opportunity to win tickets to the 41^st annual Yankee Dirt Track Classic. A drawing from the ticket stubs will be held prior to the features on and three lucky fans will win three-day Yankee tickets.

Farley Speedway will host the Yankee Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30-Sept. 1.

$250 Sunoco bonus at stake Sunday for IMCA Late Models at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (May 29, 2024) – IMCA Late Model drivers get their next chance to race for a $250 bonus from divisional title sponsor Sunoco Race Fuels this Sunday at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway. Sunoco also gives a five gallon fuel jug to the bonus winner. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods complete the sanctioned portion of the June 2 race program. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing national, regional, Iowa State and track points will be awarded. Pit gates open at 4 p.m., the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. and racing follows 6 p.m. hot laps. Pit passes are $30 for adults, $15 for kids ages 7-13 and free for six and under. Spectator admission is $13 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65 and over, $6 for students ages 12-17 and free for kids ages 11 and under when accompanying a paid adult.

Independence, Dubuque dates next on Deery Series schedule

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa – A Deery Brothers Summer Series doubleheader is on the docket this weekend, as the 33rd annual tour for IMCA Late Models travels to Independence Motor Speedway and Dubuque Speedway. A top prize of $2,000 is on the line Saturday, April 27 at Independence while the winner of the Sunday, April 28 Hershel Roberts/Ray Guss Sr. Memorial at Dubuque goes home with $2,500. Both features pay a minimum of $300 to start. The Sunday show was rescheduled after a mid-April twinbill at Maquoketa and Dubuque was lost to unseasonable weather. The 492nd event in series history takes Deery drivers and fans to Independence for the 30th time. Pit gates and the grandstand open at 4 p.m. Hot laps are at 6 p.m. with racing to follow. Sunoco bonuses awarded at Independence, Dubuque this weekend

INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (June 1, 2023) – Sunoco Race Fuels bonuses will be awarded when IMCA Late Models hit the track for big events this weekend at Independence Motor Speedway and at Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway. The divisional title sponsor awards $250 bonuses to feature winners on Saturday, June 3 during the Hall of Fame Night show at Indee and Sunday, June 4 on Fan Appreciation Night at Dubuque. Johnson Strikes Late as Bannisters Secure Bakersfield Championships

(Sept. 26, 2026) — Tyler Bannister and Jason Bannister completed championship-winning seasons at Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway on Saturday night during Championship Night on the dirt. Brad Pounds, the 2025 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified track champion, dominated the 20-lap feature. Pounds started fourth and drove to his third DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region victory of the season, with all three coming at Bakersfield. Newly crowned 2026 track champion Tyler Bannister finished second after starting from the pole, while Markus Frazier was third and Rob Sanders fourth. Pounds also won the heat race. The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods led the action with 15 entries on hand and an exciting 25-lap championship finale. McKinney Makes 1,000-Mile Trip Pay Off With MLA Nationals Victory

(Sept. 26, 2026) — A roughly 1,000-mile trip from Magnolia, Del., paid off in a big way for Ryan McKinney Saturday night as he captured the $2,000 Mod Lites of Arkansas IMCA Nationals at Riverside International Speedway. McKinney started third and found himself in the right place at the right time late in the feature, taking advantage of trouble for the leaders before driving the No. 25M to victory.
