Green takes I-37 Modified checkers

PLEASANTON, Texas (July 28) – Rick Green took home the top money in Saturday’s IMCA Modified feature at I-37 Speedway, but it wasn’t easy after midway.

Green had jumped out to an early lead from the eighth starting spot and put some distance on Jeremy Davenport, Cody Tidwell, Jake Rollins and Greg Dinsmore.

Dinsmore advanced to second but was half a straightaway back until caution flew on lap 13. The restart saw Dinsmore and Tidwell on Green’s bumper, but as the two fought for second Green inched ahead.

Dinsmore’s run to the front ended with brake problems, leaving Tidwell to take up the charge on a restart. Green got a couple car lengths on Tidwell and Carroll with Flanagan and Cody Leonard side-by-side for fourth.

Tidwell gave Green a look on the final lap, but Green held him off for his first I-37 victory in several years.

Leonard lands $1,000 STIMS win at I-37

By JM Hallas PLEASANTON, Texas (June 15, 2024) – Cody Leonard landed a $1,000 punch when the South Texas IMCA Modifieds Series (STIMS) returned to do battle at I-37 Speedway on Saturday night. The series’ fourth trip to the track this season saw Leonard front on lap three and in charge the rest of the way en route to Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. “I’ll be honest. I did not feel good in the heat race. I really didn’t feel too good at the start of the feature even though we went forward,” he admitted afterwards. “This place was kind of low and slow which fits my driving style. We went back to some stuff we were doing in 2020 when we were really good, really quick. Weekend Races at I-37 Speedway and HOT Speedway Rained Out — STIMS Racing Update

We regret to inform our fans, teams, and supporters that both races scheduled for this weekend at I-37 Speedway and HOT Speedway have been cancelled due to rain. Given the number of travelers planning to attend, and after speaking earlier with HOT Speedway promoter Selby Holder, we’ve mutually agreed that STIMS Racing will not run a show tomorrow night in Waco. We believe this is the best decision for everyone involved. Both events will be rescheduled, and we will announce the new dates as soon as possible. Our next event is scheduled for April 26th at Texana Raceway Park. We look forward to seeing everyone there for a great night of racing!

IMCA Modifieds chase $1,000 check at I-37 opener

PLEASANTON, Texas (March 22, 2023) – Saturday’s season opener at I-37 Speedway sees Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win along with qualifying eligibility for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. Pit gates and the grandstand both open at 4 p.m. for the March 25 lidlifter. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, GRT Race Cars South Central Region, Texas State and track points will be awarded. Pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is $16 for adults, $11 for seniors, military and First Responders, and $6 for kids, with five and under free. Friday’s practice session at Pleasanton runs from 6-9:30 p.m. Pit passes are 420.

Danley Breaks Through for RaceSaver Nationals Crown at Eagle

(Sept. 6, 2026) — After years of trying, Joey Danley finally reached the top of the mountain at Eagle Raceway, capturing his first RaceSaver Nationals championship in Sunday night’s $14,000-to-win Big Dance. Danley took command with eight laps remaining in the 35-lap championship feature and survived late-race drama to secure the biggest victory of his career at the Nebraska oval. The win came in his 13th attempt at capturing the RaceSaver Nationals crown. Super Nationals Tuesday Start Moved Up With Threatening Weather in Forecast

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 7, 2026) — Tuesday’s racing program at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s will get an earlier start as officials take a proactive approach to anticipated weather later in the day. Registration and the pit gates will open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Following opening ceremonies, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact hot laps will begin at 10 a.m., with racing to follow. Moving the schedule forward will give officials the best opportunity to complete Tuesday’s entire program with rain forecasted in the evening. The day will feature the second night of qualifying for the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks. The IMCA Sport Compacts will take center stage for their championship program, culminating with the Big Dance to determine the 2026 Super Nationals champion.
