SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 15) – Brian Mullen made his move to the front on the final circuit in winning Sunday’s IMCA Modified main event at Outagamie Speedway.
An opening lap wreck in the open wheel headliner sent point leader Mike Mullen down pit lane with damage and he did not return. J.J. Andersen then led from the drop of the green until lap six when Konnor Wilinski took away the top spot.
Wilinski paced the field, running up top as Mullen worked through the pack. Mullen began to close with five to go. Mullen made his move as the white flag flew, diving under Wilinski for the lead, the win and top spot in the point standings.
Kyle Frederick collected the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers and Cody Schroeder raced past Cole Mangin with four laps remaining to win the IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature.
Michael Brehmer came out on top in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main.
By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 23, 2023) – Dylan Waldvogel started on the pole of the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern Sport Mod feature and never looked back in racing to the checkers Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Cory Kemkes challenged Waldvogel several times but could never find a way around. Waldvogel led all 20 laps for his first win of the year. He was followed to the checkers by Kemkes, Chris Kuchta, Jordan Jahnke and Ryan Schmidt. Dan Michonski snagged the lead on lap one of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature but it was Brett Wenzel taking to the outside of the track to grab the lead on lap two. The only real challenge to Wenzel came on restarts as Chucky Forstner hung with Wenzel at times. In the end it was Wenzel fending off the field for the win. Michonski, Forstner, Tyler WIlson and Brandon Czarapata completed the top five. Dan Roedl led the early stages of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature while Marcus Yarie and Benji LaCrosse worked through the field [Read More]
By Joe Verdegan SEYMOUR, Wis. (Jun. 6, 2025) — Hometown driver Mike Mullen gave the locals plenty to cheer about at Outagamie Speedway in Seymour Friday. The second-generation driver not only pulled off feature wins in two divisions — the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars and one of the local divisions — he also scored heat wins in both classes, earning clean sweeps in each respective division. Mullen jumped into his IMCA Stock Car to scrap for the $1,000 top prize. Starting eighth on the grid, he sliced through the field to take second place by lap seven, right behind leader Travis Van Straten. Mullen motored past the former IMCA National champion to snag the lead on lap nine. While Mullen kept all challengers at bay, Van Straten had his hands full, duking it out with another former IMCA National champion, Rod Snellenberger, in the battle for second. When the checkers flew, Mullen scored his second feature win of the night — his third of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region — and his [Read More]
By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 1, 2022) – The Fourth of July weekend kicked off with 180 cars filling the pits at Outagamie Speedway. Each of the drivers wanted to avoid fireworks on the track and enjoy them from victory lane after the races. The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature kicked off with Jason Hyerdall and then Dan Roedl in front. Wyatt Block wasted no time moving into position to challenge as he moved inside Hyerdall to secure second. Block continued to work the groove inside Roedl and fought side-by-side with the leader for multiple laps as Mike Mullen steadily worked the high side into fourth place. At halfway, Roedl led Block, Cody Schroeder, and Mike Mullen. A lap 12 restart saw Block slice past Roedl into the top spot and try to open a gap on the field. The closing laps saw Mullen put on a clinic on running the high side in turns one and two as he tickled the wall up top with every lap. When the checkers flew Mullen closed [Read More]
