SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 15) – Brian Mullen made his move to the front on the final circuit in winning Sunday’s IMCA Modified main event at Outagamie Speedway.
An opening lap wreck in the open wheel headliner sent point leader Mike Mullen down pit lane with damage and he did not return. J.J. Andersen then led from the drop of the green until lap six when Konnor Wilinski took away the top spot.
Wilinski paced the field, running up top as Mullen worked through the pack. Mullen began to close with five to go. Mullen made his move as the white flag flew, diving under Wilinski for the lead, the win and top spot in the point standings.
Kyle Frederick collected the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers and Cody Schroeder raced past Cole Mangin with four laps remaining to win the IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature.
Michael Brehmer came out on top in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main.
By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (Jun. 27, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main at Outagamie Speedway saw Cole Czarneski grab the early lead and pace the field through the opening laps. Just before the halfway mark, Skyler Woods muscled his way into the top spot on lap nine. A caution quickly flew at the midpoint of the race, stacking the field back up. On the restart, Czarneski found momentum on the high side and surged back into the lead on lap 13. The two frontrunners dueled door-to-door for several laps before Woods regained the advantage for good on lap 17. Woods went on to score his first win of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Czarneski finished second, with Johnny Whitman completing the top three. By Joe Verdegan SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 15, 2026) — Suamico’s Johnny Whitman snatched the lead on lap 10 and fended off a hard-charging Jayden Schmidt to win the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature Friday night at Outagamie Speedway. Whitman, who started eighth, picked up his third Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season and first triumph of 2026 at Outagamie Speedway after surviving a thrilling late-race duel with Schmidt. Hometown driver Konnor Wilinski blasted into a big lead early from his pole position. The second-generation driver quickly built up a full straightaway advantage in the opening four circuits. Wilinski had already begun slicing through lapped traffic by lap eight while Whitman carved his way through the field, grabbing second by lap seven. Following a lap nine caution, Whitman whisked past Wilinski to take the lead at the halfway mark. Meanwhile, Schmidt, who started 19th, stormed through the field and reached second by lap 11 before powering past Whitman for the lead one lap later. The duo raced door-to-door over the next several circuits, exchanging [Read More]
By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 2, 2023) – Fresh off a heat race win, Wyatt Block looked to be the man to beat early in Friday’s Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Outagamie Speedway. Last week’s winner Johnny Whitman joined the battle for the top spot before the midway point but with both drivers running the same line, Block was in control. That all changed once Block hit lapped traffic and had to move around the track. Once Block was deep in traffic, Whitman threw a slider in turn three, pinning Block behind a lap car. Whitman took over the top spot and dominated the remainder of the event. Block had to settle for second, Konnor Wilinski took third and fourth went to Lucas Lamberies. It’s not over till it’s over and that was the case in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods feature, a thriller between Corey Kemkes and Brady Harshbarger. Harshbarger dogged Kemkes most of the main before a caution with three laps remaining set up a dash to the checkers. On the restart, Kemkes began to work the low [Read More]
