Mullen flexes muscles at Outagamie

SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 15) – Brian Mullen made his move to the front on the final circuit in winning Sunday’s IMCA Modified main event at Outagamie Speedway.

An opening lap wreck in the open wheel headliner sent point leader Mike Mullen down pit lane with damage and he did not return. J.J. Andersen then led from the drop of the green until lap six when Konnor Wilinski took away the top spot.

Wilinski paced the field, running up top as Mullen worked through the pack. Mullen began to close with five to go. Mullen made his move as the white flag flew, diving under Wilinski for the lead, the win and top spot in the point standings.

Kyle Frederick collected the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers and Cody Schroeder raced past Cole Mangin with four laps remaining to win the IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature.

Michael Brehmer came out on top in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main.

Whitman captures checkers at Outagamie

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 24) – Johnny Whitman led the last three laps before making his way to victory lane Friday night at Outagamie Speedway. Brekken Kleinschmidt paced the opening laps of the IMCA Modified headliner until Mark Schuenemann raced by on lap four. A series of cautions before midway kept the field bunched up. Tyler Wilson used this to his advantage, snagging the lead down low on lap 10. Whitman worked through the field to the runner-up position after starting in row six. Wilson and Whitman worked the low groove until Wilson left the door open just enough to allow Whitman to sneak by for the lead. Whitman led the remaining three laps while Wilson settled for second at the pay window. Mike Mullen rallied to place third after sliding back to last on the first lap. Snellenberger survives late challenge

(Aug. 7) – Rod Snellenberger held off a determined Jeremy Christians on the final lap to score his first IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win of the season Friday at Outagamie Speedway powered by EWSC. Harley Simon paced the opening laps until Snellenberger slipped by on lap eight. Logan Leary and Christians quickly worked to the back bumper of Snellenberger with all three drivers running the cushion. Christians went to the low side several times but couldn’t find the grip to get by early on. That battle allowed Snellenberger to distance himself from the field. With three laps remaining, Leary got loose, allowing Christians to slip into second. Christians quickly caught the leader and made a last-ditch effort on the final corner in his attempt to earn his 100th IMCA feature, diving to the inside as they came to the checkers. Late race heroics net LaCrosse Outagamie feature win

By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (May 14) – His late-race heroics put Benji LaCrosse in victory lane at Outagamie Speedway Friday night. There were 27 IMCA Modifieds, 33 IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, 37 Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and 29 Mach-1 Sport Compacts checked in and Wyatt Block Jr. and Marcus Yarie traded the lead early. Yarie was able to work the high side, gaining enough momentum to pull away from Block. Cautions kept the field bunched, allowing Block and LaCrosse each to mount a challenge. LaCrosse set his sights on Yarie with five to go. With Yarie running the top side, LaCrosse began to peek his nose down low under the leader. With one lap remaining, Yarie changed to the low groove as LaCrosse went sailing by up top for the win and a clean sweep of the night. Yarie has to settle for second, Block was third, Justin Ritchie ran fourth and Cody Schroeder completed the top five. Rain Pushes Mod Lite Big Dance to Monday at Super Nationals

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2026) — Heavy rain forced the cancellation of Sunday’s racing program at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, moving the Stealth Racing IMCA Mod Lite Big Dance to Monday. Mod Lite competition will resume Monday with the 25-lap qualifier setting the outside row for the championship feature. The Big Dance will then be contested later in the program, marking the second consecutive year the Mod Lite championship feature will be held on Monday. All unfinished Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock races from the NAPA Auto Parts Double Down Prelude have been canceled and will not be made up. Monday’s regularly scheduled Super Nationals program for the Sunoco IMCA Late Models, Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, and Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks will proceed as scheduled. Thompson Goes Flag-to-Flag in RaceSaver Nationals Qualifier at Eagle

(Sept. 5, 2026) — Landon Thompson led every official lap of Saturday night’s RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car qualifying feature at Eagle Raceway, securing his place in Sunday’s Big Dance during night three of the 14th annual RaceSaver Nationals. After 12 heats, two D Features, two C Features, and two B Features, the Sprint Cars were brought out for the 25-lap main event that would determine the second nine cars transferring to Sunday’s championship feature. The first attempt at a start saw Ryan Padgett spin in turn four, sending him into the wall and tipping the No. 98P onto its left side. Padgett was not injured but would have to wait until Sunday for another opportunity to race his way into the Big Dance. Winebarger Wins at the Wire and Nolan Takes Super Nationals Prelude Stock Car Victories

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 5, 2026) — The first night of the NAPA Auto Parts Double Down Prelude brought a massive field of competitors to Boone Speedway on Saturday, with Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts taking center stage. Collen Winebarger survived a wild final lap to capture the second 25-lap Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature by just 0.128 seconds. Troy Jerovetz drove the Tracy Thrun-owned No. 01 to the early lead while Winebarger, a two-time Oregon Modified State champion wheeling the Terminator Chassis No. T1 house car, applied the pressure. Winebarger eventually worked his way to the front and began pulling away before a caution on lap 13 changed the complexion of the race.
