SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 15) – Brian Mullen made his move to the front on the final circuit in winning Sunday’s IMCA Modified main event at Outagamie Speedway.
An opening lap wreck in the open wheel headliner sent point leader Mike Mullen down pit lane with damage and he did not return. J.J. Andersen then led from the drop of the green until lap six when Konnor Wilinski took away the top spot.
Wilinski paced the field, running up top as Mullen worked through the pack. Mullen began to close with five to go. Mullen made his move as the white flag flew, diving under Wilinski for the lead, the win and top spot in the point standings.
Kyle Frederick collected the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car checkers and Cody Schroeder raced past Cole Mangin with four laps remaining to win the IMCA Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod feature.
Michael Brehmer came out on top in the Mach-1 Sport Compact main.
By Joe Verdegan SEYMOUR, Wis. (June 7, 2024) – Track officials broke out the proverbial broom for a pair of IMCA drivers at Outagamie Speedway on Friday night. By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 5) – First-time 2019 winners were the story Friday at Outagamie Speedway. Adam Reed took the lead away from Chase Parker early in the IMCA Modified feature. By Edward Anschutz SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 2) – Although Chase Parker led every lap of the IMCA Modified feature Friday at Outagamie Speedway, the race to the checkers wasn’t easy by any means. Defending track champion Marcus Yarie worked his way from row four to the runner-up position midway through the contest. With five circuits remaining, Yarie dove inside for the lead but lapped track halted his pursuit and Parker picked up his second win of the season. Travis Van Straten jumped out as the early leader in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars over Jeremy Wiitala. The duo ran door-to-door for the top spot until Brandon Czarapata made it three-wide. Czarapata slipped by down low to take the lead on lap five. The battle for second became lively as Josh Mroczkowski and point leader Eric Arneson began to tussle with Van Straten. Mroczkowski secured the runner-up spot with five laps remaining. Although Mroczkowski closed in late it was Czarapta scoring his second feature win of the season. Rookie Ryan Schmidt secured the lead on lap eight and never looked back, cruising to his first career Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature win. [Read More]
