SHAWANO, Wis. (June 16) – Second-generation racer Bryce Clements scored his first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod career feature win Saturday night at Shawano Speedway.
The win was an early Father’s Day gift for his dad Scott, a former local sportsman racer.
Kaden Besaw led the early stages while Clements fell in line behind him. Clements used the outside line to his advantage to take the lead on lap three and Kyle Raddant soon began to battle Besaw for second.
Raddant eventually would get past Besaw, as would Jordan Barkholtz. The race was marred by a series of late cautions but Clements survived every challenge.
Multi-time track champion Eddie Muenster scored his first local IMCA Modified win of the year and Travis Van Straten brought home win number four in IMCA Sunoco Stock Car action.
By Brandon Reichenberger SHAWANO, Wis. (July 1, 2023) – Mother Nature provided a beautiful night for racing at the legendary half mile on Tribute to Veterans night at Shawano Speedway. Tribute to Veterans is always a special night as the track honors our American heroes and 140 veterans were on hand for a special recognition and tribute at intermission organized by Mike’s Video, Trev’s Trailers and B&H Racing. Trent Nolan, Jeffery Teske and Jordan Bartz all left with bragging rights and a special Veterans Night trophy, as all three recorded a clean sweep on the evening winning both their heat and feature races. Dylan Sexton and Shawn Wagner led the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car field to green flag for a 20-lap feature. Wagner led early but had plenty of company from Dylan Stedje and Nolan, both of whom drove past on lap two. Nolan wasted no time putting distance between himself and the field following a lap nine restart. The beneficiary of the yellow was Kyle Frederick as he went three-wide from fourth to second. By Scott Owen SHAWANO, Wis. (May 5) – One hundred forty-three racers were on hand to open the 2018 season at the Shawano Speedway on Saturday and Johnny Whitman won the IMCA Modified lidlifter for the second year in a row. Joey Taycher kicked off the Modified feature by grabbing the lead on lap one. Whitman took the top spot on lap two and instantly began to pull away while Mike Mullen and Marcus Yarie began working their way through the pack. By mid-race, Whitman had built up nearly a full straight away lead as Mullen moved to second on the track after a pass on Taycher. Lap after lap Whitman led as Mullen inched closer. As the white flag flew, Mullen had cut Whitman’s lead to a few car lengths. As the leaders dealt with lapped traffic over the final circuit, Mullen was glued to Whitman’s rear bumper entering turn three. Whitman was not to be denied, though, as he beat Mullen to the checkered flag for the win. Yarie, Taycher, and Jason Czarapata completed the top five in [Read More]

(May 24, 2025) — Hometown driver Tommy Rindt earned his first win of the season in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods at Shawano Speedway, thrilling the local crowd with a strong restart and clean drive to the checkers. Outside pole sitter Bryce Clements rocketed to the lead at the drop of the green and looked like the car to beat in the early going. Michael Springborn followed close behind with plenty of company in tow. But Rindt, wheeling his way through the pack, caught fire mid-race and began closing in. As the laps ticked away, Tommy Rindt engaged in a heated battle with the 81 machine of AJ Springborn, the two trading moves in a tight race for the lead. Contact between the pair brought out a caution that reset the field with just a few laps remaining. Rindt took full advantage on the restart and led the rest of the way to score the win. Bryce Clements battled back to finish second, while ninth-starting Dustin Wudstrack navigated through the [Read More]
