Clements notches first career victory

Bryce-Clements--Sport-Mod — Bryce Clements captured his career-first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod checkers Saturday at Shawano Speedway.

SHAWANO, Wis. (June 16) – Second-generation racer Bryce Clements scored his first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod career feature win Saturday night at Shawano Speedway.

The win was an early Father’s Day gift for his dad Scott, a former local sportsman racer.

Kaden Besaw led the early stages while Clements fell in line behind him. Clements used the outside line to his advantage to take the lead on lap three and Kyle Raddant soon began to battle Besaw for second.

Raddant eventually would get past Besaw, as would Jordan Barkholtz. The race was marred by a series of late cautions but Clements survived every challenge.

Multi-time track champion Eddie Muenster scored his first local IMCA Modified win of the year and Travis Van Straten brought home win number four in IMCA Sunoco Stock Car action.

Christians best in Shawano barnburner

By Dave Buss SHAWANO, Wis. (June 22) – Some on social media were calling Saturday’s IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature at Shawano Speedway one of the best they have seen. Winner Jeremy Christians wouldn’t disagree. Rod Snellenberger took command of the race in the first few laps but was soon joined by Dan Michonski and Eric Arneson as Christians fought through traffic. With multiple four-wide battles behind him Snellenberger, seemed to be on his way to the win. Michonski, Arneson, Christians and Mike Schmidt, however, had other plans. The four quickly closed to the back bumper of Snellenberger. Michonski ran the high side with the others working the low side. Lap after lap, positions were swapped between the challengers with Snellenberger maintaining a slight lead. On lap 19, slight contact between Christians and Snellenberger caused a tire to begin going down on Snellenberger’s ride. Mullen captures third straight on Bob Bennett Memorial Night

By Dave Buss SHAWANO, Wis. (May 1) – On Saturday night, Shawano Speedway celebrated its Night of Champions, honoring the 2020 championship class. Webster’s Dictionary defines a champion as ‘someone who fights or speaks publicly in support of a person, belief, cause.’ Before the races, another champion’s life was honored as Bobby Bennett was remembered. Although Bennett never won a track championship at Shawano, it was only appropriate to honor his life on the Night of Champions. The IMCA Modifieds took to the track to open the features with Mike Mullen trying to extend his season-opening win streak to three. Kevin Feck looked to be the man to end the streak early on as he led the opening five laps. Further back in the pack, Andy Karl and Marcus Yarie, along with Jerry and Konnor Wilinski were waging a spirited battle with three-wide racing and competing slide jobs. Bartz is best at Shawano

By Scott Owen SHAWANO, Wis. (April 27) – Jordan Bartz raced her way to victory lane on opening night Saturday at Shawano Speedway. Cole Magnin led the first two laps of the Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature before losing the handle and bringing out the caution flag. Magnin restarted at the tail of the field. Teagan Wudstrack and Bartz swapped the lead back and forth multiple times over the next two laps before Bartz ultimately established herself in the point position. Bartz led the rest of the way for the victory. Bryce Clements raced his way to second, while Magnin battled back from the tail of the field to finish the race in third. Benji LaCrosse led every lap of the IMCA Modified feature while Jeremy Christians regained the lead late in the race to win the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main event.

Sierra Davenport: Making History With a Family Number

By Ben Deatherage BISMARCK, N.D. — Nothing about Sierra Davenport’s night at Dacotah Speedway on June 26 suggested history was about to be made. The 17-year-old had started near the front of her heat race and gone backward. Way backward. “I struggled really bad in the heat race,” Davenport said. “I think I started second and finished pretty much last.” Back in the pits, Davenport and her team went to work. A few adjustments were made to her No. 51S Sunoco IMCA Stock Car before the feature. Then everything changed. Davenport found the speed that had been missing earlier in the evening and drove to the first IMCA Stock Car feature victory of her young career. Shryock Charges From 11th to Capture Battle of the Blue Ribbon at Spencer

By Jane Burd SPENCER, Iowa (Sept. 17, 2026) — Kelly Shryock charged from 11th to capture the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature and highlight the Battle of the Blue Ribbon at Clay County Fair Speedway on Thursday night. The Fertile driver had plenty of ground to make up before finding himself in a battle with Jake Masters for the victory. Shryock ultimately prevailed to record his 12th EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season and third win of 2026 at Clay County. The Battle of the Blue Ribbon also served as a qualifying event for the 2027 B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational. With the victory, Shryock earned eligibility to attempt to qualify for the Invitational during next year’s Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s at Boone Speedway. Masters, who started second, settled for the runner-up position. Elijah Zevenbergen also made a charge through the field, advancing 10 positions to finish third. Super Nationals Auction Adds to Championship Night Haul

By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 16, 2026) — After the final championship features were decided at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s, the annual auction in the NAPA Auto Parts Fan Zone added another chapter to Championship Saturday at Boone Speedway. Engines and chassis went across the auction block, generating additional money for competitors following America’s Racin’ Vacation. For two of the week’s champions, the auction added considerably to what they had already earned on the racetrack. Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified champion Kollin Hibdon earned $10,000 for his Big Dance victory and received a new Harris Auto Racing Modified chassis. Hibdon elected to put the chassis up for auction, where it brought $13,500, giving him $23,500 between his championship purse and chassis proceeds before contingency awards and other prizes were figured in. Sunoco IMCA Stock Car champion Jake McBirnie earned $8,000 for his championship victory and received a new Terminator Stock Car chassis.
