Clements notches first career victory

Bryce-Clements--Sport-Mod — Bryce Clements captured his career-first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod checkers Saturday at Shawano Speedway.

SHAWANO, Wis. (June 16) – Second-generation racer Bryce Clements scored his first Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod career feature win Saturday night at Shawano Speedway.

The win was an early Father’s Day gift for his dad Scott, a former local sportsman racer.

Kaden Besaw led the early stages while Clements fell in line behind him. Clements used the outside line to his advantage to take the lead on lap three and Kyle Raddant soon began to battle Besaw for second.

Raddant eventually would get past Besaw, as would Jordan Barkholtz. The race was marred by a series of late cautions but Clements survived every challenge.

Multi-time track champion Eddie Muenster scored his first local IMCA Modified win of the year and Travis Van Straten brought home win number four in IMCA Sunoco Stock Car action.

Familiar faces in familiar places at Shawano

By Don Rouse SHAWANO, Wis. (May 20, 2023) – On a gorgeous Saturday evening the newly redesigned victory lane at Shawano Speedway powered by Auto Select saw many familiar faces return for week two. Unfortunately, one familiar face we won’t see but will always be here is Donna Dorn who lost her battle to cancer. Her presence and compassion for her favorite drivers and track will forever be with us. In the early laps of the feature for the class called Too Tough To Tame, several IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers found out how tough it was. A nasty crash on the backstretch found Anthony Kotula, Kyle Fredrick, Dan Michonski, Brad Nelson, Jordan Barkholtz, Mitch Stankowski, Tyler Welch all tangled in a wreck. First IMCA checkers for Van Straten fly at Shawano

SHAWANO, Wis. (Aug. 12, 2023) – On a beautiful August evening Saturday, Mother Nature allowed Shawano Speedway to host the first annual Retro Night. Several teams put together a few throwback schemes from yesteryear and oh did it bring back a lot of emotional memories of the cars and stars that once raced at the legendary half mile. In the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature, pole sitter and former limited late model champion Dave Lytie and Andrew Engels, who had his dad’s no. 33 on the side of his usual no. 29 machine, set the pace for what would become a caution-plagued feature. Wilinski, Forstner, Schmidt are IMCA winners at Shawano

SHAWANO, Wis. (Aug. 8) – The 2019 Shawano Speedway track champions were honored Saturday as part of the Night of Champions. The action on the track that evening saw the 2020 points battle heat up while heading towards the season’s end. In the IMCA Modified feature, Shawn Frelich and Jesse Peebles led the field to the line. Peebles grabbed the early advantage while Konnor Wilinski began his move forward after starting eighth. Wilinski captured the top spot a few laps later. Wilinski began to pull away as Marcus Yarie and Lance Arneson gave chase. As the top three worked themselves free of the pack, Lucas Lamberies was slicing his way through the field. Wilinski proved up to the challenge, grabbing the feature win with Yarie finishing second. Clinton County Speedway to Crown RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car Champion in ’26

(Jan. 16, 2025) — Clinton County Speedway will take the next step in its Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing involvement in 2026 by crowning a RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car track champion. Traditionally, Clinton County Speedway’s role in the IMCA program has come through various IMCA Sprint Car Special Series events throughout Pennsylvania. Beginning in 2026, the 1/3-mile clay oval will offer a full points-paying schedule, giving drivers the opportunity to chase track, Pennsylvania State and national points. While Central Pennsylvania is often known for its high-speed half-mile “speed factories,” Clinton County’s bullring-style layout delivers nonstop action and side-by-side racing that has made it a favorite among fans and competitors alike. $1,000 Jan. 18 Sunday Night Showdown Awaits Stock Cars at Central Arizona Raceway

(Jan. 16, 2025) — Before the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis IMCA.TV Winter Nationals presented by Dynamic Drivelines and Pitt Stop Motorsports kicks off on January 21, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars will get the action started with a special Sunday night event at Central Arizona Raceway. The IMCA Stock Cars will take to the clay on Sunday, January 18, at the same facility that will host the Winter Nationals, giving competitors an early opportunity to tune up ahead of the opening round of the prestigious winter series. Pits will open at 1 p.m., grandstands will open at 3 p.m., with on-track activity scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. The event will pay $1,000 to the winner, with Black Magic Bead Breaker contributing $250 to the winner’s purse. 32nd Annual Ice Breaker Launches 2026 Season at Abilene Speedway on Feb. 20-21

By Ben Deatherage ABILENE, Texas (Jan. 15, 2026) — Abilene Speedway will usher in their 2026 racing season in a big way with the 32nd Annual Ice Breaker, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, February 20–21, featuring four Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly divisions, including IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods, and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. The Ice Breaker weekend will begin with an open practice session on Thursday, February 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Nightly race procedures for both Friday and Saturday will have the pill draw open at 3:00 p.m. and close at 5:45, followed immediately by the pit meeting. Each night of competition will award track, Texas State, and National points.
