DUBUQUE, Iowa (May 6) – Sunday’s Merfeld Brothers Auto IMCA Modifieds feature at Dubuque Speedway was another nail biter as several drivers took their turns at the front.
Bryce Garnhart battled with Austin Moyer for much of the 20-lap main event before crossing un­der the checkers ahead of Moyer. Last week’s winner Jason Schueller turned in another fine run in taking third. 
Defending IMCA national champion Tyler Soppe scored the feature win in the 18-lap GSI Colli­sion Specialists Northern Sportmod main event.
Soppe fought to the front from a fourth row start to score the win ahead of early leader Justin Becker. Scott Busch followed up last week’s win with a third place finish.

Dubuque Deery date rescheduled for April 28

DUBUQUE, Iowa (April 15) – The new date for the Deery Brothers Summer Series show at Dubu­que Speedway is Sunday, April 28. Postponed from April 14, the main event for touring IMCA Late Mod­els pays $2,500 to win and a minimum of $300 to start and headlines the Hershel Roberts/Ray Guss Sr. Memorial program originally scheduled last Saturday at Maquoketa Speedway.  The April 13 show lost to low temperatures will not be rescheduled. Also running at Dubuque will be IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for national, regional, state and track points, along with a local 4-cylinder class. Pit gates and the grandstand open at 2:30 p.m. Hot laps are at 4:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and students and free for ages 12 and un­der. McCrady takes charge at Dubuque Speedway, Sunday shows will feature five IMCA divisions

DUBUQUE, Iowa – New promoter Nick McCrady has a to-do list that starts with putting on an enter­taining race program each and every Sunday this race season at Dubuque Speedway. “This is an awesome facility and we’re excited to work with the fair board here. Dubuque checkers fly for Callahan

By Jerry Mackey DUBUQUE, Iowa (June 3) – Joel Callahan topped the strong field of IMCA Modified drivers in in scoring the 20-lap feature win Sunday at Dubuque Speedway. Callahan took the lead near midway and held off Tyler Madigan at the checkers.  Troy Bauer followed up a feature win at Farley Speedway on Friday night with another victory in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Bauer took the win over always tough Tyler Soppe.  Sunday, June 10 will be Fan Appreciation night at Dubuque with everything half price, including admission and all concessions. In addition, a pre-race car show will be held beginning at 4:30 p.m. All kids will be given autograph books courtesy of the Richardson Motors Kids Club. Drivers will have cars on display and will be signing autographs prior to the races.
