Thompson, Roth are IMCA winners at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa (June 24) – Sunday racing action at Dubuque Speedway provided the fans with a thrilling night of action packed plenty of wheel-to-wheel action on Casey’s General Store Night at the Races.

Derek Thompson found the tacky track to his liking in scoring the 20-lap Merfeld Auto IMCA Modified feature. Thompson led the most laps in taking the checkers ahead of Austin Moyer and Matt Short.

Jason Roth won his second consecutive GSI Collision Specialists IMCA Northern SportMod main event. Roth took the point position after the midway portion of the 18-lap main and went on to cross under the flag stand ahead of Gage Neal and Troy Bauer.

Dubuque checkers fly for Callahan

By Jerry Mackey DUBUQUE, Iowa (June 3) – Joel Callahan topped the strong field of IMCA Modified drivers in in scoring the 20-lap feature win Sunday at Dubuque Speedway. Callahan took the lead near midway and held off Tyler Madigan at the checkers. Troy Bauer followed up a feature win at Farley Speedway on Friday night with another victory in the Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods. Bauer took the win over always tough Tyler Soppe. Sunday, June 10 will be Fan Appreciation night at Dubuque with everything half price, including admission and all concessions. In addition, a pre-race car show will be held beginning at 4:30 p.m. All kids will be given autograph books courtesy of the Richardson Motors Kids Club. Drivers will have cars on display and will be signing autographs prior to the races.

Deery Series begins drive to 500th event with Davenport, Maquoketa, Dubuque dates

DAVENPORT, Iowa (April 4) – A rich weekend kicks off the Deery Brothers Summer Series’ history-making 33rd season. Opening night takes the IMCA Late Model tour to Davenport Speedway for the $5,000 to win Rebel 5K next Friday, April 12. Completing the tripleheader slate are $2,500 to win events Saturday, April 13 at Maquoketa Speedway and Sunday, April 14 at Dubuque Speedway. “You’d be hard-pressed to find another series in America that can boast about their 500th event in series history. Dubuque Deery date rescheduled for April 28

DUBUQUE, Iowa (April 15) – The new date for the Deery Brothers Summer Series show at Dubuque Speedway is Sunday, April 28. Postponed from April 14, the main event for touring IMCA Late Models pays $2,500 to win and a minimum of $300 to start and headlines the Hershel Roberts/Ray Guss Sr. Memorial program originally scheduled last Saturday at Maquoketa Speedway. The April 13 show lost to low temperatures will not be rescheduled. Also running at Dubuque will be IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods for national, regional, state and track points, along with a local 4-cylinder class. Maupin Charges to STIMS Victory at Cotton Bowl Speedway

By Nick Robbins PAIGE, Texas (July 25, 2026) — The Southern Touring IMCA Modified Series presented by On Demand Shirts returned to Cotton Bowl Speedway, where 19 Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds signed in for the 20-lap main event. A hard-fought battle for the lead triggered the race’s biggest incident, and it was the driver who started sixth who was left standing at the end. DIY Equipment Sales and Rental Heat One was won by Cody Leonard, Sundowner Performance Diesel Heat Two went to Johnny Torres, and 3-D Landscaping and Irrigation Heat Three was captured by Cody Tidwell. Torres carried his heat win into the feature and jumped to the point from the inside of the front row, with Leonard alongside him and Tidwell in tow. Dewease Dominates Caution-Free Winchester Feature

(July 25, 2026) — Cole Dewease continued his outstanding 2026 campaign Saturday night, charging to the lead early and driving away to win the Virginia Sprint Series and Laurel Highlands Sprint Series co-sanctioned RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Winchester Speedway. Dylan Shatzer and Matt Mullins shared the front row for the caution-free main event, with Shatzer taking the early advantage while Mullins and Dewease settled in close behind. Dewease wasted little time moving into second before making the winning pass on lap five. Once out front, the Fayetteville, Pennsylvania driver expertly navigated lapped traffic while Shatzer gave chase. Behind the leaders, Mullins battled with Donnie Hendershot and A.J. Barton throughout the race, but none of the challengers could mount a serious threat as Dewease maintained control to the checkered flag. Shatzer finished second while Mullins completed the podium. Elston Becomes Seventh Different Davenport Late Model Winner

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (July 24, 2026) — The streak continued Friday night at Davenport Speedway as Tommy Elston became the seventh different winner in seven Sunoco IMCA Late Model features this season, highlighting the final race before the Mississippi Valley Fair. Making his first Davenport start of the year, the Keokuk driver charged from 12th to capture his eighth victory of the season. Jesse Bodin led the opening 10 laps before surrendering the lead to Travis Denning. Denning’s time out front was brief, however, as Elston powered into the lead on lap 13 and drove away to the checkered flag. Blaise Lewis finished second while Denning settled for third.
