NY-Penn IMCA Series Returns with Pair of Pennsylvania Memorial Specials in July

VINTON, Iowa (July 2, 2026) — The NY-Penn IMCA Series resumes its 2026 campaign later this month with a pair of Pennsylvania events carrying major implications for both the championship chase and Fast Shafts All-Star eligibility.

The series returns to The Hill Speedway in Monroeton on Friday, July 17, for the 6th Annual Billy Maynard Memorial, where drivers will compete for $1,069 to win. The tour then heads to Penn Can Speedway in Susquehanna on Friday, July 31, for the 4th Annual K.C. Cole Memorial, which will pay $1,024 to the winner.

Both Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified features are Fast Shafts All-Star qualifiers, with each winner earning eligibility to try and qualify for the invitational held during the 2026 Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

The season opened May 30 at Woodhull Raceway, where Tyler Belcher captured the Sean Lias Memorial. Jake Maynard added his first series victory of the season on June 12 at The Hill Speedway.

Jacob McConnell carries a slim three-point lead over Keith Lamphere into the July swing. Charlie Fulton, Jakub Ingham, and Doug Stack Jr. round out a tightly contested top five in the championship standings.

Billy Maynard Memorial next for NY-Penn IMCA Modifieds

MONROETON, Pa. – Round three of their NY-Penn Series takes IMCA Modifieds back to The Hill Speedway for the $1,269 to win Billy Maynard Memorial. The Friday, July 2 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier is 30 laps and pays a minimum of $125 to start, with $1,250 in lap money and leader bonuses to be awarded and random drawings, including a certificate for 50 percent off a Velocita firesuit, held as well.  Pit gates at Monroeton open at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. More information is available by calling 570 637-4377, on Facebook and at the track website, www.thehillspeedway.com.

Sites is king in NY-Penn IMCA Series action at Penn Can

(Sept. 17, 2022) – Eddie Sites reigned when the Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Precision Hydraulic & Oil made its return Saturday for the King of the Can at Penn Can Speedway.  Rich Michael Jr and Tyler Stoddard kicked off the 25-lap, $1,000 to win feature for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds from the front row, but the red flag would be displayed before the end of the first lap for a multi-car incident. Sites was part of that pileup and grabbed back onto the field in the eighth position once the lineup was reset.
