ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (June 20, 2026) — Sweetwater Speedway lived up to its reputation for exciting racing during a thrilling two-night showcase at the Rock Springs 3/8-mile oval, where Bryson Yeager stole the spotlight by sweeping the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified features and increasing his DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Western Region win total to four.

The Green River driver charged from eighth starting position on Friday and passed Michael Hale on the final lap of the 20-lap feature to earn the victory. Hale settled for second, followed by Braxton Yeager, Terrell Payne and Casey Delp.

Yeager backed up that performance Saturday with another impressive drive, advancing from 10th starting position to score his second straight victory. Payne finished second, Joe Miller was third, Braxton Yeager fourth and Justen Yeager fifth.

The weekend sweep gave Yeager his first two victories at Sweetwater Speedway in 2026.

Vasquez and Pitt Split SportMod Honors

The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods produced some of the weekend’s most entertaining racing as 21 entries packed the pits both nights and competitors raced three- and four-wide throughout the field.

Jacob Vasquez made the most of his pole position Friday, leading all 20 laps of the Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature to earn the victory over Slade Pitt and Cole Marlatt. David Pitt finished fourth and Kyle Menlove rounded out the top five. The Price, Utah, driver collected his fifth win of the 2026 season and his first victory away from Desert Thunder Raceway.

Saturday’s feature saw J.D. Renfro of Cheyenne advance from 10th and lead the majority of the event before Pitt mounted a late charge. Pitt completed the winning pass on lap 17 and drove away for his first victory of the season.

The Rock Springs driver was followed by Scott Verner, Josh Pate, Renfro and Shawn Parish at the checkered flag.

Poll Completes Sport Compact Sweep

Ethan Poll dominated the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact division, sweeping both feature events despite starting 10th each night.

The Green River racer put together a pair of impressive drives to earn his first two victories of the 2026 campaign.

On Friday, Poll advanced through a 30-car field to defeat Travis Bott, Jonathon Crawford, Tavian Leonard and Cody Poll.

Saturday’s feature attracted 28 entries, but the outcome was the same as Poll again drove from 10th to victory lane. Kaleb Clark finished second, followed by Marc Hammond, Cody Poll and Bott.

Vasquez and Johnson Trade Hobby Stock Victories

The B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region Hobby Stocks saw Race Vasquez and Jeramy Johnson split the weekend’s feature wins.

Friday belonged to Vasquez, who raced from fifth starting position to score the victory over Johnson, Preslie Thorne, Danica Delp and Earon Hudson.

The Price, Utah driver collected his sixth win of the season and his second Northern Region triumph, with both regional victories coming at Sweetwater Speedway.

Johnson turned the tables Saturday night, racing to his third win of the season and second Northern Region victory. The Fairview, Utah racer held off Vasquez in a rematch of Friday’s battle.

Vasquez finished second, while Thorne, Delp and Jonus Aragon completed the top five.
