MINOT, N.D. (June 14, 2026) — Mike Hagen collected the biggest payday of the night in the Randy Fyllesvold Memorial for Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, while Travis Hagen reached a major career milestone with his 100th IMCA-sanctioned Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature victory during an action-packed evening at Nodak Speedway.

The Randy Fyllesvold Memorial for Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars featured a unique redraw format that placed Gabriel Deschamp 14th in the starting lineup and made him eligible for bonus money based on positions gained.

Mike Hagen, of Williston, drew the pole and immediately took command of the race. Although Marcus Tomlinson pressured him for much of the event and briefly challenged for the lead, Hagen remained in control and drove away for the $1,414 victory. The win was his first of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and made him eligible to attempt to qualify for the B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Stock Car Invitational at Super Nationals.

Tomlinson’s strong run ended prematurely with mechanical issues before the finish.

Deschamp charged from 14th into third before spinning on lap 12 and restarting at the rear. He rallied back to finish 10th, earning a $456 bonus. Because Deschamp did not claim the full available bonus, the remaining $1,026 was awarded to 14th-place finisher Brennor Grinstead.

Will Scheresky advanced from ninth to finish second, while Brock Beeter completed the podium. Steven Pfeifer finished fourth in the Randy Fyllesvold tribute car, and Troy Heupel charged from 16th to fifth.

Travis Hagen Earns 100th Modified Victory

Chris Tuchscherer paced the opening five circuits of the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modified feature before Travis Hagen found an opening on the inside and raced into the lead.

Once out front, the McGregor driver controlled the final 20 laps to score his 100th IMCA-sanctioned Modified feature victory. The win was Hagen’s fourth of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region and his third at Nodak Speedway in 2026.

Saskatchewan racer Aaron Turnbull delivered a strong charge from 13th to second. Steven Pfeifer advanced from 10th to third, while Dalton Flory climbed from 15th to fourth. Jared Thelen rounded out the top five.

The evening also included the postponed IMCA Modified feature from June 7.

Jared Thelen led early before Marcus Tomlinson of Turtle Lake worked his way past for the top spot. Once in front, Tomlinson pulled away from the field to secure his third Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season, with each win coming at a different track.

Thelen finished second, followed by Chris Tuchscherer, Steven Pfeifer, and Isaac Sondrol.

Appelt Remains Perfect at Nodak in Hobby Stocks

The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature featured numerous lead changes and several restarts before Caden Appelt emerged victorious.

Brian Tvedt led the opening lap before Diezel Raynard took control. Raynard edged Sage Borud by just .013 seconds at the stripe on lap two as the two battled for the lead.

Following several cautions, Borud moved to the high groove on a restart, opening the door for Alan Bertsch, who had started 22nd and last, to briefly grab the lead. Bertsch led until Appelt nipped him at the line just before another caution slowed the action.

A restart with five laps remaining put Appelt in command. The Minot driver survived one final caution with three laps to go and raced to the win from 10th starting position. The victory was his sixth of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region, with all six coming at Nodak Speedway.

Bertsch completed an incredible charge from 22nd to second. Saskatchewan’s Diezel Raynard finished third, Sage Borud was fourth, and Saskatchewan racer Cash Saxon completed the top five. Brody Better advanced from 21st to sixth.

Zach Hughbanks Charges to Sport Compact Win

The Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature saw Brian Hughbanks lead the opening three laps before contact between Brian Hughbanks and Nicholia Topolski on a restart reshuffled the running order.

That opened the door for Zach Hughbanks, who charged from ninth starting position to take the lead and never look back.

The Minot racer earned his second victory of the season, both coming at Nodak Speedway.

Topolski rallied from 13th to finish second. Harrison Schwartz advanced from 10th to third, Austin DuBois was fourth, and Averie Lageson rounded out the top five.

Schatz Breaks Through in SportMods

Darren Schatz captured his first Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature victory of 2026.

Trenton Erven led the opening two laps before Schatz took over and paced the final 18 circuits.

The Williston driver held firm through the remainder of the race to secure the win.

Payce Herrera of Utah advanced from eighth to finish second. Chad Strachen charged from 10th to third, Saskatchewan’s Keenan Glasser was fourth, and Sladen Pfeifer completed the top five.
