Ballenger Earns First Huset’s RaceSaver Victory

BRANDON, S.D. (June 14, 2026) — Blake Ballenger scored his first career victory at Huset’s Speedway on Sunday night, prevailing through a pair of late cautions to win the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature.

The triumph came in just Harrisburg racer’s second start at the track.

Mason Slendy paced the opening lap of the 20-lap main event before Ballenger charged into the lead on lap two. The race remained under green until the closing stages, allowing Ballenger to build an advantage while several drivers battled throughout the top five.

The biggest challenge came from Laney Moore, who reeled in the leader and drew alongside Ballenger entering turn one on lap 14. The pair raced side-by-side for the lead, with Ballenger maintaining the top spot.

Back-to-back cautions over the next two circuits erased Ballenger’s advantage and set up a pair of late restarts, but the leader remained composed. Ballenger pulled away in the final laps and crossed the finish line 1.201 seconds ahead of the field.

John Lambertz advanced from eighth starting position to finish second after getting around Moore in the closing laps. Moore settled for third, while Micah Slendy finished fourth.

Aydin Lloyd earned hard charger honors, racing from 12th to fifth.

Heat race victories went to Mason Slendy, Moore, Dillon Bickett and Lambertz. Brandon Bosma won the B Main.

IMCA RaceSaver Sprints returning to Sunday shows at Huset’s Speedway

BRANDON, S.D. – The IMCA RaceSaver division returns this season to a hotbed for Sprint Cars in South Dakota. A dozen Sunday night shows are on the 2021 schedule leading up to the Sept. 25-26 finale at Huset’s Speedway. “IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars are a perfect fit for this area. We ran them a couple times at the end of 2020. Donnohue Delivers in Traffic for Huset’s Victory

(May 25, 2025) — Brady Donnohue made a late-race pass in traffic to win the 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event at Huset’s Speedway, which showcased four different leaders. Andrew Sullivan led the first two laps with Dylan Waxdahl taking over the top spot on lap three. Lee Goos Jr. used the top groove to move forward, powering into the lead on lap eight. Donnohue advanced into second place and closed on Goos Jr. once he hit traffic near the midpoint of the race. Dolan Dices Through Lapped Traffic at Port Royal for First Win

(June 13, 2026) — Chris Dolan’s steady climb through the River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series ranks reached a milestone Saturday night as the York driver led all 20 laps of the Penns Valley Meat Market feature at Port Royal Speedway to earn his first career RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car victory. Dolan started from the pole aboard the Jon Williams-owned No. 89D and immediately established himself as the driver to beat.
