Gomola Capitalizes on Late Shakeup for Clinton County Sprint Car Win

Mill Hall, Pa. (Apr. 24, 2026) — Jacob Gomola of Guys Mills, Pennsylvania, was victorious Friday in the RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature at Clinton County Speedway, earning his first win of the 2026 season after starting third.

Jeffrey Weaver and Matt Tebbs brought the field to the green flag, with Weaver taking the early lead. Tebbs, Gomola, Timmy Bittner, and Dale Schweikart rounded out the top five. A caution on lap six slowed the field when Austin Greenland stopped on the track.

Weaver maintained the lead on the restart as the battle for second between Tebbs and Bittner intensified. On lap 14, the two made contact entering turn one, sending both cars flipping. Both drivers were able to walk away from the incident.

As the field prepared for the restart, Weaver suffered a mechanical issue and was forced to the pit area. Gomola inherited the lead with 11 laps remaining.

On the restart, Gomola led Jim Pattock, Schweikart, John Walp, and Cory Stabley. Schweikart moved past Pattock for second on lap 19, but Gomola remained in control and led the rest of the way to secure the victory. Schweikart finished second, followed by Pattock, Walp, and Stabley.

Stremme captures NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series checkers at Clinton County

(Sept. 15, 2023) – A 20-car field made the trip to Clinton County Speedway on Friday night to contest the next round of the NY-Penn MCA Modified Series presented by Close Racing Supply and presented by M. R. Graphix. Ken Schrader and David Stremme were part of the field looking for the winner’s payday and it was Stremme who would ultimately earn that $1,000 check plus Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. (June 30-July 1, 2023) – Timmy Bittner had the best weekend of his IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car career over the weekend, capturing two hallmark Laurel Highlands Sprint Series events at Clinton County Speedway. Bittner won the Founders Cup event Friday and then put his name in the history books by capturing the coveted Nittany 40 Championship on Saturday. Owen Dimm took command of the field early on Friday in the race honoring speedway founders Del Shank and Tedd Reitz as Zach Rhodes advanced to second and the eighth starting Bittner to third. Bittner was in second when lap five was scored, caught Dimm for the point on lap eight and then built a respectable lead while navigating lapped traffic. Olson Outduels Oliver in Benton County Stock Car Opener

By Christine Rublack Vinton, Iowa (Apr. 26, 2026) — A stellar field of cars put on a show at The Bullring for opening night at Benton County Speedway as Kyle Olson held off a hard-charging John Oliver Jr. to win the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Olson and Oliver quickly distanced themselves from the field. Kevin Rose moved into third as the leaders approached lapped traffic, while Johnathon Logue worked into fourth as the laps wound down. Whiteaker Wins a Wild One at 105 with STIMS Series

Nineteen Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds signed in for the $1,000-to-win, 20-lap feature. It was the first visit for several drivers and the first in a while for the rest. Sproul Sweeps Modifieds at WaKeeney’s Christmas City Clash

(Apr. 25, 2026) — Dakota Sproul completed a dominant weekend sweep in the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, leading the way in Saturday’s twenty-lap feature at WaKeeney Speedway’s Christmas City Clash. Starting alongside Dalton Murphy on the front row, Sproul quickly jumped to the early advantage and remained in control while Tanner Black, Clay Money, and Daniel Gottschalk all applied pressure throughout the event.
