Dean Scores Second Mod Lite Win at Hendry County

CLEWISTON, Fla. (Mar. 8, 2025) — Despite starting seventh, Mike Dean charged through the field to capture his second Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite feature win of 2025 at Hendry County Motorsports Park. A series of four cautions slowed the pace, but once Dean took control, he had no trouble staying in front.

Bill Leonard led early, holding off Chase Nornberg until a caution halted their battle. Nornberg was forced to the back due to a loose fuel cell cap.

On the restart, Robbie Throop and Dean battled for second, closing in on Leonard. Dean eventually took the spot and set his sights on the leader, but a slip-up in turn one allowed Dylan Permann to sneak underneath and take second. Soon after, Leonard spun in front of the field, avoiding contact but surrendering the lead to Dean.

Dean managed multiple restarts and built a comfortable advantage to secure his first win since the season opened on January 4.

Permann wound up second, followed by Ben Blalock in third.

$5,000 top prize at stake for Saturday Winter Nationals IMCA STARS Mod Lite main event at Hendry County, FL

CLEWISTON, Fla. – The big money is at stake on the final night of February Winter Nationals doubleheader dates for the newly IMCA sanctioned STARS Mod Lites. The Saturday, Feb. 13 feature at Hendry County Motorsports Park, part of the Sugar Bowl program at Clewiston, pays $5,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start. Pit gates open at 11 a.m. and racing starts at 1 p.m. The non-qualifier race that evening pays $250 to win and $125 to start and tow is $100. Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala and Hendry County host the first Mod Lite events sanctioned by IMCA. The Feb. Ronnie Choate Sweeps Thursday Night Action At Hendry County

By Ben Deatherage CLEWISTON, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2025) — Ronnie Choate took home all the hardware on the opening night of the 6th Annual Sugar Bowl at Hendry County Motorsports Park. While all 44 Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites had the opportunity to practice and dial their cars in, a select group of drivers participated in the prestigious Race of Champions and Manufacturers Dash—both of which were won by the Cookeville, Tennessee native. The Race of Champions kicked off with reigning Benton Speedway titleholder John Leahy seizing the early lead. However, Choate quickly closed the gap, and on lap three, he motored around the Missourian to take command. Once out front, Choate was untouchable. Sweet repeat for Raffurty at Sugar Bowl Winter Nationals

(Mar. 22, 2025) — It was a wild night for Gavyn Manning at Mohave Valley Raceway, as the Bakersfield, California driver went from flipping early in the night during hot laps to standing in victory lane after winning the $2,000-to-win 5th Annual Bill & Shirley Memorial. Manning capitalized on a strong restart to take control of the race and never looked back in the 25-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. The 2021 National IMCA Southern SportMod champion surged to the lead in the closing laps to collect his first victory of the 2025 campaign in the division’s first appearance at the ¼-mile oval. The 20-lap main event began with 2013 IMCA National Modified champion William Gould setting the pace. He held steady through two early cautions, but things changed quickly after a lap-nine restart. Jake Upchurch, a three-time KSP IMCA SportMod track champion, used the high side to rocket from fifth to second and began challenging Gould. Ramey Scores First Career Win at Heart O’ Texas’ Gene Adamcik Memorial

By Ben Deatherage ELM MOTT, Texas (Mar. 21, 2025) — Dylan Ramey captured his first-ever RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event win Friday night at Heart O’Texas Speedway during the Gene Adamcik Memorial. The 22-year-old Fort Worth native was both emotional and elated in victory lane after achieving the milestone victory. Starting from the front row, Ramey held off defending track champion Claud Estes III at the drop of the green. As Estes battled Jeb Sessums for second, Ramey built a solid lead — one that vanished in lapped traffic by lap 6, allowing both challengers to close in. Sessums, wheeling the Taco Casa Racing entry, made a bold three-wide move on the leaders in turn three, but a caution negated the pass, allowing Ramey to keep the top spot.
