LOXLEY, Ala. (Mar. 1, 2025) — Joseph Joiner delivered a commanding performance in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified finale of the 2025 IMCA TV Clash On The Coast at Deep South Speedway. The Milton, Florida driver, piloting the Andrews Autosport entry for car owner Spencer Andrews, led all 25 laps to secure his second career Clash victory and first since 2023.
Joiner wasted no time asserting control, blasting into the lead in turn one and quickly building a massive advantage. His blistering pace carried him into lapped traffic by lap 16, but he navigated through the back markers effortlessly.
A late caution tightened the field, setting up a restart where Matthew Triefenbach, a current U.S. Air Force airman, battled for second against Dylan Thornton, the reigning Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s IMCA Modified and Sunoco IMCA Late Model champion. Thornton took the spot, bringing Austen Becerra up into third shortly after the overtake.
Another stoppage with two laps to go led to a green-white-checkered finish. Becerra and Thornton fought for second, with Becerra edging ahead at the white flag. He made a last-ditch effort to close the gap on Joiner, but Joiner held strong to claim the victory.
Starting eleventh, Becerra finished second, capping off an impressive week where he never finished outside the podium. Thornton, originally from California and now residing in Iowa, rounded out the top three.
With his consistent performances, Becerra secured his second career Clash title for car owners Jon and Joyce Snyder.
Jonathan Joiner won the Tire Demon by Love-Tap Dash earlier in the night.
A total of 51 IMCA Modifieds from all over the DeVilbiss Racing Eastern Region and beyond competed in the final round.
Damon Murty Wins Wild Stock Car Finale, Vandermark Claims Title
The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature kicked off with a thrilling opening lap, as 2008 National Champion Rod Snellenberger took the early lead and pulled away from the field. However, back-to-back lap 6 cautions erased his advantage and brought 2005 National Champion Damon Murty into the mix.
Murty kept pace with Snellenberger before executing a decisive inside pass in turn four to claim the lead. As the Chelsea, Iowa veteran pulled away, the battle for second intensified.

Snellenberger had his hands full, first fending off Tuesday night winner Mike Vandermark Jr., then facing a charge from Dallon Murty. A three-wide battle ensued, with Dallon moving into second on lap 14, but there was no catching his father.
At the checkered flag, Damon Murty secured his first career Clash victory, making it four different Stock Car winners in four nights.
Dallon Murty finished second, while Wisconsin’s Snellenberger completed the podium in third.
With his consistent Top 5 finishes every night, Cedar Springs, Michigan’s Mike Vandermark Jr. was crowned the 2025 Stock Car Clash Champion in a very stout field of EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region competitors. This marks the second different title winner in as many years.
The event was broadcast live on IMCA TV.
