MEDFORD, Ore. (May 17, 2024) – Southern Oregon Speedway pays tribute to a former track announcer and James Bond fan at the R. Charles Snyder Salute May 25 and 26.
Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods run for $7,007 to win and a minimum of $707 to start at the sixth annual special, while Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds vie for $3,007 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility.
Qualifying for both divisions begins Saturday, with last-chance races and main events on Sunday. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Shaw Race Cars Western Region, Oregon State and track points will be awarded.
Early registration of $120 per day for SportMods and $80 per day for the Modifieds can be paid using the Pit Pay app. Entry fees at the gate are $140 for SportMods and $100 for Modifieds.
Pit gates open at noon and the grandstands open at 4 p.m. both days. Hot laps start at 5 p.m. with racing to follow. Pit passes are $40 per day. Spectator admission is $20, senior citizens, veterans and kids ages 6-12 are $15 while five and under free .
The Friday night open practice is from 6 to 8 p.m. and features a pit man challenge and possibly a live band
