IMCA Modifieds, Northern SportMods chase Ice Breaker Challenge bonuses

EAGLE, Neb. – Entries for the weekend’s Ice Breaker Challenge presented by Auto Trans Matic at Eagle Raceway now number more than 270.  IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win on Friday, April 19 and for $2,000 to win on Satur­day, April 20. Both events are Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers. IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars vie for $1,000 to win, and a minimum of $250 to start, their night two Sprint Series of Nebraska headliner.  Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods run for $500 to win both nights. (July 16, 2022) – A rough start led to a perfect ending for Tyler Jackson.  Jackson won his first IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature of the season at Eagle Raceway Saturday night ahead of national points leader Dillon Richards.  “I got kind of a rough start at the beginning of the feature. I got into another car. I didn’t mean to do it and I apologized to him a couple of times,” Jackson said post-race. “After that, the car was perfect, I just had to be sure I kept it perfect.”  Ryan Gilland, Drew Barry and Michael Hansen completed the top five.  Bob Zoubek hit his marks in winning the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature. By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. (June 2) – Mike Densberger ended a too-long absence from victory lane at Eagle Raceway with Saturday’s Runner Freight IMCA Modified checkers. The fifth starting Densberger passed Mike Lineberry for second on lap three and grabbed the lead the next time around. Jordan Grabouski, who had to transfer through the ‘B’ feature took over fourth with four to go and vaulted into second after two more laps but didn’t have enough time to make a play for the front spot. “It’s been a long time, almost three years now. I knew there were a lot of fast cars behind me, so I wanted to get to the front and keep them behind me,” Densberger said. “It was a little rough to­night but after how much rain we got last night you couldn’t ask for a better track.
