Cornhole tournament champions crowned the Sunday before IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 29, 2023) – The first champions will be crowned off the track, rather than on it at the upcoming IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.

The popular cornhole tournament returns to Boone Speedway and America’s Racin’ Vacation on Sunday, Sept. 3 with a maximum of 32 two-person teams competing in a double elimination format.

The tournament will be held at the NAPA Fan Zone south of the main grandstand and teams are encouraged to furnish their own bags. Entry fee is $80 and you may register at https://www.imca.com/supernationals/bags-tourney/

Teams are required to pre-register and pre-pay and must do so online through IMCA or Super Nationals websites. There will be a 100 percent payback of the $2,560 in entry fees to the top four teams. No refunds will be paid to teams that register but don’t show up.

Scorezit, a division of Wehrs Machine and Racing Products, returns as title sponsor of the fifth annual Super Nationals tournaments and awards Scorezit scorekeepers to championship team members.

Official tournament manager will be Brett Greer.

“I highly recommend that teams interested in competing register as soon as possible,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “Check-in time is 9:30 a.m. and the tournament is scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m. sharp.”

“Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, a single cornhole tournament will be held at Super Nationals this year,” he added. “We hope to hold multiple tournaments again beginning in 2024.”
