Next IMCA Sunoco bonuses awarded at Davenport, Maquoketa

By Jerry Mackey MAQUOKETA, Iowa (May 27, 2023) – The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature belonged to Ryan Duhme Saturday night at Maquoketa Speedway. Duhme took over the top spot from Brandon Jewell and went on to record the 20-lap feature win. Jason Schueller followed Jewell across the finish line in third.  Jerry Miles drove to the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win, taking over the top spot following an incident on the 10th lap that saw the two front runners sail off of turn two and forced to restart from the rear. Miles took over the race lead and took the checkers ahead of Justin Kay and Jacob Ellithorpe.  The Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods continue to provide thrilling racing at the Maquoketa Speedway. Daniel Wauters outran the hot weather and the competition to make it four straight checkered flags in the IMCA Hobby Sunoco Stocks Saturday evening during the Donna Heister Memorial. “What a night at Maquoketa Speedway,” Wauters said on Facebook. “Kids got plenty of ice cream from the Little Racers Car Club, got to ride around in the Batmobile, then we got our fourth straight feature win there. DAVENPORT, Iowa (March 20, 2023) – Three IMCA divisions join Friday and Saturday Thaw Brawl shows at Davenport Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $600 to win March 24 and 25, while IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods chase $500 top checks both nights. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern regional, and Iowa State points will be awarded.  Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Racing follows 6:30 p.m. hot laps. Adult grandstand admission is $30. Gates open at 2 p.m., the grandstand opens at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. hot laps precede racing on Saturday. Grandstand admission for adults is $35 that evening.
