EAGLE, Neb. (July 2, 2022) – Brandon Horton was first to the checkers when a change in the running order had IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars take to the high banks for the first main event of the evening Saturday at Eagle Raceway.

Horton passed Jason Danley for the lead on a lap five restart. Mike Boston got past Danley for second with eight circuits remaining but couldn’t close the gap on the leader.

“In eight or nine years now, I think we’ve finished in every single spot in the feature except winning it, so this feels really good, finally,” said Horton. “I liked the track tonight. I think running the Sprint Cars first kind of set in a nice groove that everyone else ran as the night went on. It ended being nice and smooth with a nice cushion to run on and it was pretty fast.”

Jordan Grabouski was back in victory lane following the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature, Shane Stutzman led from lap six to the end of the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main and Dillon Richards raced to his fourth straight IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock win at Eagle.

And Trevor Noonan earned his first Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod checkers of the season at Eagle.

“The car ran great tonight. We had a lot of issues earlier in the week mechanically but thanks to my great crew and family, we got it worked out and the car ran great,” he said. “This kind of track really suits our car, slick in the middle with both a top and bottom lane. It was a little rough, but once you figure out how to avoid the holes it’s a good, fun track to race on.”
