WACO, Texas (June 27, 2022) – Heart O’ Texas Speedway gets an early start to the Independence Day Weekend celebration with the Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial for IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars.
The winner of the final race in the Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2 special lassos a $5,000 top prize and earns a guaranteed starting spot in the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational as well.
Runner-up pay is $2,500 with $1,500 for third and $1,000 for fourth. Total purse for the main event is more than $17,000 and starting the 24-car main event pays a minimum of $300.
All drivers will run two heats on Friday, with a feature that evening locking in the first qualifiers. Heat and last-chance races during Saturday’s draw/redraw show complete the starting field for the 30-lap main event.
IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region and KMJ Performance State points will be awarded on Saturday. Registration fee paid on or before Friday is $50. Drivers racing Saturday only will pay $100.
Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods are on the Friday card at Waco, along with the traditional fireworks show.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m., the grandstand opens at 6 p.m. and hot laps precede 8 p.m. racing on Friday. Pits are open all day Saturday, the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. and hot laps precede racing at 7 p.m.
Pit passes are $35. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, military and students, kids ages 7-12 are $5 and six and under are free. More information is available on the track website and on Facebook.
