14th Clash at the Creek brings IMCA Modifieds to 141 Speedway in pursuit of $10,000 payday

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (June 6, 2022) – The 14th annual installment of the Clash at the Creek brings Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds to 141 Speedway in the quest for a top $10,000 payday. 

The Wednesday and Thursday, June 15 and 16 special at Francis Creek guarantees Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility to the winner while paying a minimum of $750 to start.

IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods both race for $1,000 to win each night. Winners of Stock Car features also become eligible to qualify for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. 

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, and KMJ Performance Wisconsin State points will be awarded. 

Modified pre-registration is $215 and can be paid and tickets purchased at myracepass.com. Entry fee each night for Stock Cars and Northern SportMods is $20. Pit stalls can be reserved by calling or texting 920 360-5965. 

Pre-tech starts at 3 p.m. and an open practice session runs from 7:30-10 p.m. on Tues­day, June 14. Pit passes are $20 and admission to the grandstand is free. 

Modified qualifying begins Wednesday. Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and racing starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. 

Wednesday grand­stand admission is $16 for adults and $12 for seniors and students; on Thursday, admission is $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students. Kids ages 10 and under get in free when accompa­nying a paid adult and pit passes are $30 each day. 

Transponders are required and can be rented at the track. Pit vehicle/ATV registration is $10. Camping spots are $25 with showers available and can be reserved by calling or texting 920 819-0475. 

The Left Turn Lounge will be open at 11 a.m. daily.

Gretz, Dix, Schneider win Big Three

By Greg Aregoni FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (July 27) – Greg Gretz held off a hard-charging Josh Long to claim the IMCA Modified feature win Saturday at 141 Speedway.  It was his first win of the season. Gretz started up front and his racer was on point for 20 straight laps as he never relinquished the lead, while Long started ninth and quickly worked his way through the field. Long got to the second spot only to see the leader using a perfect line.  Long searched high and low around the 1/3 mile but could never find enough to get past. An instant classic, as they say in the sports world, is what the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature brought to the table. FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. – Ten thousand dollars is the top prize at 141 Speedway’s June 19 and 20 Clash at the Creek special for IMCA Modifieds. Both the purse and the quality of competition have made the Clash one of the crown jewels for IMCA Modifieds and the 11th annual event is sure to be one of the best. Ken Schrader returns to the field for the rich Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier, which will pay a minimum of $750 to start.  IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods race for $1,000 to win both nights at Francis Creek.  IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Side Biter Chassis North Central Region and EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, and E3 Spark Plugs Wisconsin State points will be awarded.  Pre-tech starts at noon and an open practice session runs from 6-9 p.m. on Tues­day, June 18.
