JEFFERSON, S.D. (May 7, 2022) – Buoyed by Cody Thompson claiming the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory to lead a top-four sweep, Sioux City was well-represented on the top finishers list on the Saturday, May 7, program at Park Jefferson International Speedway.

Thompson led fellow Sioux Citians Bob Moore and R.J. Merchant and South Sioux City native Ricky Stephan among the local racers in the Modified main. 

David Miller and Tyler Smith kept the theme going with a one-two River City finish in IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks.

The remaining victors for a beautiful early May evening were Devon McMartin, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods; Elijah Zevenbergen, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars; and Anthony Clark, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. 

The Rushmore Racing Tour featuring the IMCA divisions is on the docket Saturday, May 14. Gates open at 5 p.m. with hot laps at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through https://www.parkjeff.com.

Park Jefferson’s Memorial Duels boast $1,000 top prize for IMCA Modifieds

JEFFERSON, S.D. – Park Jefferson is the place to be for the fourth annual Memorial Duels this Saturday, May 23.  The Duel sees the first Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier of the year at Park Jeffer­son Speedway for IMCA Modifieds. Paying $1,000 to win and $150 to start, the best of Siouxland’s IMCA Modifieds will be on hand. Joining them for their first IMCA points event are the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Drivers are asked to register at Park Jefferson International Speedway on MyRacePass.  Pit gates open at 3 p.m. with spectator gates opening at 5 p.m. and hot laps at 6:15 p.m. Seven hundred spectator tickets are for sale. Park Jefferson’s inaugural IMCA SportMod Horsepower Nationals pay $5,000 to win

JEFFERSON, S.D. (June 14, 2022) – Park Jefferson Speedway, along with Wayne Becker and Premier Industries, are pleased to announce the first-ever $5,000 to win Heartland Horsepower Nationals for Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods June 20-21.  The format will follow the popular Iron Cup format.  On Monday, drivers will draw for two complete heat race lineups. Each heat will pay $40 to win. Points will be accumulated and lock the top 10 drivers into the next night’s main event lineup.  On Tuesday, twin “B” features line up the next 10 spots on the main event grid before a last-chance qualifier sees all remaining competitors battle for the final four spots in the Premier Industries-sponsored main event.   In addition, both Monday and Tuesday cards include a full IMCA program with heats and features for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Modified features pay $700 to win while Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Sport Compact features pay $500. South Dakota events still on, without grandstand spectators

JEFFERSON, S.D. – Both Saturday’s Open Wheel Nationals at Park Jefferson Speedway and Sunday’s event at The New Raceway Park will still be held as scheduled, but without spectators in grandstands at either facility. No IMCA points of any kind will be given at either event. The Saturday show features IMCA Modifieds and will be broadcast by Speed Shift TV. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Car, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Karl Kustoms Northern SportMods and Mach-1 Sport Compacts are on the Sunday card, to be broadcast by Advantage Racing TV. Advance ticket holders for the Open Wheel Nationals will be notified by email about refunds. Information about grandstand refunds for the Sunday event is to be announced.
